There was a check of the papers by Rwandese authorities. All papers that needed to be on board were on board and have been given to the authorities. But the authorities are now asking for other papers that are not obligated to have on board! Since they cannot be presented the authorities refuse to let the plane continue.
Political pressure is coming from Belgium and from aviation authorities to let the plane go.

This silver bird had a lot of repairs, is now still on the cargo apron, like i saw it isn't touched for weeks now, perhaps they are waiting for paperwork and airwortiness certificate to release the silverbird.

and so now they think it's ower turn now.....

Hello;

Yep, but with the silverback is something wrong.
Not with the SN. (i hope)
I think our planes and papers are in better conditions than there papers.

Thanks!

I think it is very childish of the Rwandese authorities if this is indeed the reason.

can't SN sue the (airport) authorities overthere for loss of income?

It was on the VRT news this evening. There are two possible reasons why they grounded the A330.

1) the silverback is still grounded in BRU

2) the Belgian priest Paul Theunis is free. For the court of Rwanda he is guilty.

OMG the past weeks have been rough for SNBA ... For once i'm sorry for them !!!

I hope the A330 will be released very soon and lets hope the real aircraft ( the DC8 will fly back to Rwanda it's to nice to stand on the ground )

The problem is politically, they have all the documents requested, but still refuse to let the bird depart.

Do not forget this is Africa not Europe .... no stress and another sense of reasoning ..... and maybe they have it at the right end of the stick

BTW:.

• What's the problem with SFN :?:

• Any relation to the Kigali plane :?:

• Which plane is standing in Kigali :?:
