That reminds (me) mostly "The Beauty And The Beast". If it should be "The Beast" something else should be "The Beauty".
Or it can be both  maybe good for a marketing Pay-Off but too long for branding.

Amazing pix.
It's so gracious that it cannot be seen as a whale. But remaining in cetaceans gorgeousness:

Ola,

Interesting topic...

I'm not a very creative person so I would call it " Atlantis ".
A myth of an ancient and wealthy town. It had a powerful fleet which was able to travel across different oceans. And it was a paradise. (according to Plato)

So to compare it:
A380 powerful plane which is able to connect different continents, it expresses the wealth in the western society. And I hope it will be a flying paradise too. :)

My favorite description is "a face only a mother could love" which I have seen on a photo on jetphotos or airliners.
Besides, I have seen a couple of times the name "Mega-Jumbo" or "Super-Jumbo" like in the news or on TV. although it is not very creative it pretty much hits the point for me.

Name the A380

I am partial to "Le Pig", both appearance wise, and how it will hog airspace and ramp space.

Well my wife says we could combine the Manatee and Aibus and come up with Air Cow.

I still like "Le Pig" but "AirCow" has a certain pananache.
