The Provincial Governement (Provinciale Staten) has just voted/accepted a long term business plan in favour of Maastricht Aachen Airport. But non unconditional: the number of complaints must go down and more houses nearby will get noise isolation. 'Loud' aircraft will be deterred by an increase of the charges.
The Province (Limburg) will also provide a loan (35M) for a new runway (most probably a runway renewal).
