Alitalia will terminate E175 operations from Rome to Skopje on 30 November 2016, due to weak demand.

Turkish Airlines terminated service from Istanbul to Khujand, Osh, Aalborg, Bordeaux, Genoa, Pisa, and Rotterdam. The Carrier will reportedly also cancel flights to 22 destinations in total, 17 of which are international.

SUN-AIR of Scandinavia, a British Airways franchisee, has pulled out on Billund-Brussels. I found out when checking flight schedules to Jutland in light of Aarhus European Capital of Culture 2017.

That leaves Brussels Airlines as sole operator on the route. Anyone who knows when SUN-AIR has cancelled their Brussels-service?

It was shortly after the terror attacks of 22/03/2016, it was the attacks plus the competition from Brussels Airlines that forced them to close the route.

As from summer 2017, KLM cancels Doha. After 33 years of service. Reason given by KLM: since Qatar Airways opened Doha-Amsterdam in June 2015, the route become loss making for KLM. And Qatar Airways now has asked for second daily flight. The Dutch Pilots Association VNV complains: "Dutch employees loose their job because of unfair competition from a state-subsidied airline".

When did bmi regional decide to cancel its flights between Munich and Bern? It was never officially announced: a typical example of airline behaviour!

The good news is that BMI Regional plans to reopen its route from Bern to Munich after a near two-year hiatus.
