What about the move of Egyptair Cargo from Ostend to Brussels? According teletekst lately there are still Egyptair flights in- and outbound Ostend. Normally, if rumours were true, ops should have moved to Brussels since April 1st. Or are they only performing the Global Aviation legs?

Brussels Airport got green light from the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority for the proposed airside infrastructure for accomodating the B747-800F.

Budget and planning are also approved by Brussels Airport. The building permit is requested.

No not for the moment. Aryan Cargo Services had some successful ad hoc chaters in the beginning.

This case is still at DGLV (Directoraat Generaal der Luchtvaart). Problems with a third party.

I would say they're having a cash flow problem. According to an article on Trading markets.com tehy had serious financial problems early June (and they lost their CFO). According to the article they had to ground their sole A310 for a few days (at least). Furthermore, I doubt Aryan would be pleased to have heard that HK Airlines starts Hong Kong-Delhi-Brussels....

HK will be not the main problem as the total % of cargo will be limited. Naresh Goyal of Jet Airways was furious when the news was announced that Ayran was going to fly cargo between Delhi and Brussels Airport.

Don't forget that Jet had plans to start cargo services (long time ago ;) )

Has Jet something to do with the problems for Aryan its flights?

I heard Jet is very succesfull with cargo on their pax flights to BRU. So no suprise that they are not happy with a full freighter operating Delhi-Brussels.

It is no secret that cargo on all Jet pax flights ex-India are doing very well. India is booming on the cargo market.

At this moment only Eva Air Cargo is flying to/from Delhi. They are going to upgrade their frequency to six flights a week as from September.

Singapore Airlines Cargo is flying once a week to Mumbai.

In October 2010, DHL will start 3 weekly flights between Brussels and Bahrein. The aircraft wich will be used are B777F's of Aerologic (a joint venture between DHL and LH Cargo).

On 13 September, DHL Express started with new flights from Brussels to Barcelona and Madrid.

As from 6 December, the flights between BRU and Lagos operated by B762F will be replaced by services with an B763F wich has an extra capacity of 10 tons.

DHL says that this shows that BRU stays an "important" hub for them.

Edit: Atlantis was a bit earlier with his new topic about these DHL developments. :P

BRU communication team is doing a much better job than the rest of the airport : they manage to turn awful results into a good looking communication. Such a small growth from the crisis months is BAD. That's all we need to remember. LGG or LUX have +30-40% in the same time.
