I have seen them also. But not only containers also a lot of heavy equipment. Maybe we can expect some heavy airplanes to transport them.
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
Maybe Kalitta to bahrain ?
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
hi
spoke today to one of the truckdrivers and he told me that an american vessel ( BIG SHIP) docked in antwerp harbor ( that's where the containers are coming from) and all those containers will be shipped by corean air to the middle east. may we believe him?
he also told me that what is at the moment at brucargo is only a small part-much,much more to come.
for the moment now about 200 containers.
lets hope they will send heavy equipment to transport to destination.
keep in touch.

It is correct that there have been increased operations of Korean Air at BRU during the last two days. I believe KE had two flights (inbound ICN) both yesterday and today, all with similar departure times.ups 747 wrote:all those containers will be shipped by corean air to the middle east.
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
KAL always transports dangerous goods with their 744F's so its possible yes but for US army stuff i would have opted for CKS like acid-drop
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
Korean Air increased indeed the last couple of days their ops, temporary, with incomming flights from Frankfurt.
Maybe they are using Korean because they are flying with noseloaders. I have seen those containers and other parts and those are way too big to load via the normal cargo doors.

Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
It would surprise me that the US army ships material via a non-US carrier....
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
a us military carrier?
what do they have: c17 's or bigger: galaxy's if they are still flying.
what is the biggest plaine they have for shipping big material.
charter some antonov's?
yes they need indeed noseloaders-the big containers are to big for loading the normal way.

Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
You mean TEU containers (like they use on ships)? These things are really heavy (something like 3 tons per container), not the most efficient way for air transport...

Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
I don't think they will stand there for a long time. Maybe we can expect this week some extra freighters.
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
are we allowed to speak publicly about military transports on Belgian soil of a NATO member ?
Re: lots of containers of us army at flightcare
If they really would have want to keep it a secret, they would have used Chièvres wouldn't they?regi wrote:are we allowed to speak publicly about military transports on Belgian soil of a NATO member ?

Nobody has any objection when the ports of Antwerp or Zeebrugge are used.
