Depends.

If the outgoing flight is cancelled because of a flight safety issue with the incoming flight, they don't have to pay a compensation, but "only" hotel accommodation and meals.

EK184 delayed today till 1815. Anyone has info on reason for this ?

Seen it sitting at the gate with engine cowlings opened... so something technical I suppose.

It eventualy left on Wednesday evening around 22.45lt.... saw it taxy from maintenance hangar were it stayed the whole day straight to runway 25R, did not notice any passengers on board....presumably empty ferry-flight....
