Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
At this moment no second daily flight from ORD to BRU via LHR by UA like we will see tis winter.
Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
US Airways will fly again daily between PHI and BRU and this with their B757-200.
Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
And they will change their incoming schedule. I believe the US750 will arrive at 0700LT iso 1040LT. The departure of US751 will stay like it is.Atlantis wrote:US Airways will fly again daily between PHI and BRU and this with their B757-200.
Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
Air Transat released its new summer '10 schedule to Brussels.
And again, we will have 4 flights a week to Montréal AND the flight will go further to Toronto.
The flights starts at 2 April '10.
Good news and the client has now 3 carriers to chose.

Small update about the above post. Air Transat changed a little bit their schedule. Like I already said they are going to offer 4 flights a week. Two of them are morning departures and two other are afternoon departures from BRU. This as from June.

That is very interesting if they continue to YYZ but will all of these 4 flights continue or just 1 or 2?Atlantis wrote:Air Transat released its new summer '10 schedule to Brussels.

At first sight on all 4 flights but I see YYZ only as from September 2010. Maybe its a little bit early.wernerrav4 wrote:That is very interesting if they continue to YYZ but will all of these 4 flights continue or just 1 or 2?Atlantis wrote:Air Transat released its new summer '10 schedule to Brussels.

EgyptAir are modifying their BRU schedule for S10 with all 5x weekly flights operating CAI-BRU-CAI. Currently one of the flights operates CAI-BRU-LXR-CAI.
Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
Brussels Airlines is asking for a third weekly rotation between Brussels and Luanda in order to respond to passenger demand, said Paul Dellafaille, SN manager in Luanda last Saturday. The negotiations with TAAG have not yet started, but the project is short term.
Brussels Airlines currently flies to Luanda twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, with an intermediate stop in Kinshasa on both directions.

The flight only makes a stop in Kinshasa on the return flight from LAD. Routing is BRU-LAD-FIH-BRU.Brussels Airlines currently flies to Luanda twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, with an intermediate stop in Kinshasa on both directions.

Maybe a first clue indicating that SN might codeshare on the route with Star Alliance member EgyptAir...airmemphis wrote:EgyptAir are modifying their BRU schedule for S10 with all 5x weekly flights operating CAI-BRU-CAI. Currently one of the flights operates CAI-BRU-LXR-CAI.

How will they do this? Will the Angolan government allow another extra flight per week after years of very strict rules into the weekly frequency. Keep in mind they will go from 1 to 3 weekly flights in a timespan of only 4 to 5 months if this goes through.sn26567 wrote:Brussels Airlines is asking for a third weekly rotation between Brussels and Luanda in order to respond to passenger demand, said Paul Dellafaille, SN manager in Luanda last Saturday. Are they planning to utilise a TAAG slot at LAD, hence the negotiations to be started soon? They could then offer TAAG a flight to the capital of Europe which, as we all know, they can't start themself (through a codeshare).
This leaves the question: does the aircraft utilisation permit another 15-18 hours rotation into the already tight Africa schedule? TAAG cannot start the route themself, maybe Lufthansa has to come to give us a hand?

Ever since SN went to twice weekly on LAD, they have been codesharing with TG already.sdbelgium wrote:Are they planning to utilise a TAAG slot at LAD, hence the negotiations to be started soon? TG is Thai Airways - perhaps you meant to type "DT" ?
Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
But this is still not the answer to the questions "Will they be using a DT slot?" and "Do they still have some time left on the 4 A330s?"...
Re: BRU summer 2010: latest news, routes, airlines
Brussels Airlines is not the only carrier who is asking for more flights to Luanda. British Airways is going to offer more flights. If they don't want to loose clients they have to offer more flights. Maybe LH can offer an aircraft like they promissed.sdbelgium wrote:How will they do this? Brussels Airlines will be allowed to increase the number of flights to Angola during the African Cup of Nations (CAN) that will be held from 10 to 31 January 2010. The SN Manager for Angola, Paul Delafaille, indicated that the airline will in due time develop a special schedule to respond to the intense traffic that will take place during this continental football event.

Is it me or has TAAG been removed from the black list, at least partially (777) not so long ago?
