To the surprise of everybody, the excellent record of Bangkok Airways is now tainted by a deadly accident at
Koh Samui.
small detail: I am just back from Thailand...
second detail: will the Thai authorities be now as harsh on Bangkok Airways as they were on One Two Go after the crash of a MD-80 at Phuket ?

Aircraft involved was HS-PGL, an ATR 72-200. 1 person, the pilot Chartchai Pansuwan, has indeed been killed. Reports say 37 injured, of which 7 seriously. 68 passengers and 4 crew on board.

First of all , sad to hear this.... I flew them 2 years ago from Bangkok to Samui, excellent service!!! And the lounge in BKK what a suprise, every passsenger of Bangkok airways can go to that lounge!

I don't think so... Why? because Bangkok airways are checking there aircraft better than One-Two-Go... And have a better safety record!regi wrote: second detail: will the Thai authorities be now as harsh on Bangkok Airways as they were on One Two Go after the crash of a MD-80 at Phuket ?
