May I remind everyone that Leahy has NEVER said he'd sell 'another' 30 A380s this year, just that he would sell 30 A380s this year. So far, 9 are on the books (4 EK, 3 QR, 2 AF). There are MoUs for 24 more (8 EK, 12 BA, and 4 Grupo Marsans). If the current MoUs are firmed before the end of the year, Airbus will have 33 new orders.
So I repeat: he is NOT talking about 'another' 30 new orders.

I think EK will firm-up at Dubai together with the A350X.
BA will firm-up next year at Farnborough and order the XWB at the same time. (After the EK XWB order and an imminent ILFC order due to increased general interest in the aircraft although no available GE engines, slots will reduce considerably, BA would want to enter the game ASAP)
Marsan might firm-up before the year-end, but as the move was a surprise in itself, predicting is impossible.
I think that there the possibility of an asian order at Dubai...
3 more weeks to go.

Hey guys, lets get real.
The US is not going to buy a foreign made jet for the president. Period.
That’s as absurd as me being selected as the next pope.
And in this fiscal climate, you will not see AF1 replaced, nor does it need to be.
As for JL, how many times has he come out with statements that did not hold up?
