PIA's first all women crew flight

It was an F27 carrying 42 passengers operating domestic flight from Islamabad to Lahore on Wednesday for the first time in the country's history.

PK-623 flight took off at 2:00 pm from the Islamabad airport and landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) at 3:00 pm crew was Cpt. Ayesha Rabia Naveed, F/O Sadia and two stewardesses.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) President Mohsin Syed commenting on the historical flight said that women were making their mark in every sphere of life. "The female and male pilots are imparted similar training," he said, adding that the women were equally capable of flying all aircraft including the 747," he said, adding that it was the milestone achieved by the PIA. Crew were gievn garlans on arrival, passengers where surprised to know of the historic event.
