BRU 22/06/2020

Post by sn26567 »

What the heck is this? I know that SN cancelled Ouagadougou as a destination, but I was surprised to see it mentioned on the BRU website with a flight operated by ... Air Europe:

08:30 Ouagadougou UX274/AEA274, B787-8, check-in from 06:00 on row 06

Any confirmation?

AEA273 B788 EC-MMX is currently on the way MAD-BRU, so I’d say it’s correct. The airline’s name is Air Europa, btw. Just to be 100% correct.

The flight plan at 08.30LT is indeed for DFFD, Ouagadougou.

Ouaga is still closed to commercial traffic. Domestic flights may resume as from mid-July.

The ECOWAS/CEDEAO ministers in charge of transport and trade had a meeting last week to set up recommendations for a reopening of borders in the region in a harmonized way.

So I guess this AEA flight is repat/humanitarian, maybe flying some cargo down to OUA.
