BRU 03/09/2008 (SN L1011?)

Post by sdbelgium »

Brussels Airlines SN Conakry-Dakar operated by L10 -> being L1011?
Is there an A330 broken down? Why is this change? Is this the Luzair L1011?

Flight departed 1h13 too late BTW...

Additionally, according to Brussels Airport website flights SN353 (10h10) to Yaounde cancelled, as well as SN205 (11h20) to Dakar??

A/c is L1011-500 Cs-TEB of Aero Atlantic . Because there were some technical probs with the 330's they had to wet-lease the A/c . Otherwise they had to cancel flight .

Strange timetables for SN today indeed.

The four A330s have left:

Two regular ones:
- SN455 to Bujumbura and Entebbe (std 10:40 actual 11:14)
- SN245 to Monrovia and Abidjan (std 12:00 actual 13:42)

Two odd ones:
- SN1463 to Kigali and Nairobi (std 10:40 actual 11:22) probably rescheduled from SN463 that should have left the previous day
- SN1357 to Kinshasa direct, probably rescheduled from SN357 that should have left the previous day

And effectively SN205 to Dakar and Conakry was cancelled (but Brussels Airport mentions only Dakar), as well as SN353 to Yaounde and Kinshasa (not mentioned by Brussels airport.

The L1011 comes as a 5th African flight today, to Dakar and Conakry as SN1205 (std 13:00 actual 14:13)

Very nice to see that an IL76 found its way to BRU, here taken from my backyard on finals 25R.

Would you mind informing us if another IL76 finds its way to BRU? It seems that your timing of being in your garden by coincidence is quite accurate

Was unaware of its eta either, but this one was shot after a small tip of OO-JFP on the belav mailing list.
Btw what is "by coincidence" if my cam often stands out on sunny evenings, just for the fun to spot any bird  ?
