I heard one will be in for D-check in september, another one in november and another one in 2004. A D-check will take 6 weeks!! How will they solve it ? I don't know yet!

Boeing CEO Phil Condit met yesterday European Union Commission antitrust chief Mario Monti in Brussels. Condit said Boeing had created a new European Union and NATO public relations post.

Boeing listed on its Web site Thursday four orders from an anonymous buyer, bringing the total of new jet orders in 2003 to 29.

Discussion around the official name of the new Boeing 7E7 aircraft has started. Some marketing professionals say the Boeing company should start with a new numbering as this will be the first new aircraft started in the new century. Others prefer to call the new airplane 787.

According to some reports, German Air Berlin is considering ordering at least 40 planes from Airbus or its rival Boeing by autumn this year.

GECAS (General Electric Capital Aviation Services) seized a 767-200 from Varig at Miami. The aircraft is one of seven 767s and three MD-11s that the airline was considering returning to GECAS. Varig operates 12 767s and 14 MD-11s. In January, ILFC seized a Boeing 777 at CDG airport.
