I flew Vueling on the BRU-VLC route and return in July 2004. Although I had seats on the first row (I booked the first day booking was possible, so I had plenty of choice...), I had the impression that the legroom was quite limited.
No real problem though as the filghts are relatively short...

Sacha is right. Just look at the difference between a Holland Exell 767-300 (small overwing emergency exits above the wings, no "real" door in the middle of the fuselage) and a ex-Sobelair 767-300 or TUI Airlines 767-300 ("real door in the middle of the fuselage); (unfortunately I don...

If I remember correctly, 5X-JOE is an ex-Sabena plane.
I suppose it will be repaired?

So it seems OO-TUC is finally in good shape and is currently operating the long-distance routes for Tui Airlines Belgium without too many problems? According to the Brussels Airport website, most of these flights operate more or less on time, apparently the nightmare of the first weeks and months is...

(I hope my vlaams is ok) Hallo Walter, Goede poging voor het Nederlands, proficiat. Back to ...

Slightly off topic, and maybe an illegal question (as the use of airband radios is apparently illegal in Belgium), can anyone give me information about where one can buy an airband radio, and suggest a good model (i.e. good relation price-quality)? I suppose there are no shops in Belgium where they ...

The A 330's are indeed not really old if you consider their date of entry into service. But an airplane's age is not measured in the number of years it is manufactured, but in the number of cycles it has flown. I suppose SN Brussels' A 330 have a (very) high number of cycles, especially as they firs...

Still nobody seems to be able to say what these problems might be.
Can anyone who will be on this plane in the coming days (weeks) feel at ease while this plane is cruising at 35.000 feet above the Atlantic?

I think the only way to attract the high-yield business traveler is by offering a daily nonstop flight from Brussels to JNB, but as the Sabena experiency learned, the market for such a service is probably too limited. These services were almost always fully booked, but apparently no money was made o...

OO-TUC arrived yesterday from Punta Cana and Puerto Plata (with a 2-hours delay but probably due to the limited ETOPS-clearance), so it should have been in Brussels today. A technical problem again? I read somewhere in this topic that somebody knows more, but that he could not give more details. Wha...

Actually, after reading all the posts of this topic, I am really starting to be worried about the nature of the problems with the plane. I flew it myself on the Brussels Varadero (February 11) and Varadero-Cancun-Brussels-route (February 18-19), and was quite happy to be on the first flights of this...

The flight to Varadero was on February 11 , and was the fist commercial flight of OO-TUC. We did not notice anything special during the flight (except for the fact that there is no ...

I hope the flight leaves on schedule (OO-TUC or another plane), as I'm booked on it, and I would like to start my week off on time...
Of course, I would prefer OO-TUC, but given the troublesome past weeks, I hope it is finally ready to fly...
I'll keep you informed.

TUB8526 to Varadero and Cancun left at 10.29 a.m. but is going via Amsterdam, according to the BIAC-website. I suppose this flight is not operated by OO-TUC?
