Last month, when on approach during the evening into Cairo, there were at least 5 lasers pointed at the aircraft... Or there were a lot of discotheques with green lasers outisde... "Cairo Airport in Egypt appears to be a particular problem, with one Boeing 767 carrying up to 250 Britons was hi...

Re: New regional airline at Liège Airport?
I cannot imagine how an airport can set up an own airline, and at the same time deliver full service to airlines that it will compete with. Perhaps not direct competition (= route to same airports), bur for sure indirect competition (= route to nearby airports). Koh Samui airport is owned by Bangko...

Don't know why this has not been mentioned today (or has it?) The name VLM will return, and maybe new flights from Antwerp . Rumors say Zürich, Geneva, Birmingham and Munich. Doesn't sound that this is good for the airplane, does it ?Velopilot wrote: And if you think there is playtime during descent, think again, those aircraft cost € 10-15 per minute so when the plane is empty, it's just throttles idle, descend and make it short, because the next load is waiting.

Re: Emirates quitting Conakry
@ Passenger,
I agree with you, but most of the Dutch were on a package holiday (Kras + Stip) and had more or less not much to say about airline / route. But yes, people agreed with that, if they could have a (relative) cheap holiday in return. Afriqiyah was dirt cheap in that time..

They already do : HMS Tireless. Some ships have a submersable. And Remus 6000 (AF447, remember) is on standby. Malaysia is not sending subs, claiming that they are only fitted for combat, not SAR....flightlover wrote:Why don't they use some submarines
