Or what about crosswind and go-around performed according to the books...
By the way it's CMN not CAS.

Re: Jetairfly boeing 767 delayed today

LX-LGX, In this case a passenger flushed a diaper which blocked the sanitary system, could the airline hold that passenger responsible for grounding the aircraft ? Can force majeure be applied ? It's not the airline who is responsible for pax trying to flush diapers down the toilet ? Yes, the airli...

Re: BRU 05/01/2009 snow, delays & cancellations

Come on, every pilot flying out of BRU knows that Flightcare messes up big time when situations like these occur. It's every time the same story... When you hear the flightcare frequency that day, you just have to feel sorry for the guy (or girl) sitting there. In the end, he just didn't respond any...

Re: Sabena or not...

I think this discussion is about the "greatness" of Sabena iso the name. It is a fact that Brussels Airlines vs Sabena is a big disappointment. You used to see that Brussels airport was the homebase of national carrier Sabena. These days, you come to a semi-empty airport with so many diffe...

Re: Sat 01 Nov : two long delays for JAF

So after all, it seems that did not sent a Martinair 767 to Varadero/Cancun, but just waited till OO-TUC was fixed. Negative, the Martinair did in fact fly the passengers back. Odd conclusion you make out of that story... The Martinair 767 left for Varadero on Saturday evening, so it could have bee...

Re: Iberia A340-600 in FRA ?

Just a capacity increase is my guess.
I can remember a 340 visting BRU too (back before 9/11). I even flew a DC10 from MAD to BRU once.
But this is all a while a go when aviation was still alive and kicking...

Hi,

question, did you by any chance get OOVAS comming from AMS on the 7th in the afternoon? It was me, so would be cool to see a pic of that.

LX-LGX wrote:Today's JAF1093/1094 to/from Djerba and Tunis was supposed to be with 737. Probably a Futura, as EQP has been changed into 767.
Flight was originally planned on 737 but this has changed already in August, so this is not a result from the Futura problems, just a simple capacity increase.

Re: Mallorca based charter airline Futura ceasing operations

Jup, FUA was operating 2 and sometimes 3 aircraft for JAF, the same as with Arkefly. Delays will come out of this, but really no advance notice was given. Just a little warning yesterday evening. Luchtzak Spotters Database mentions that 1 x FUA 734 and 1 x FUA 738 are used daily by Jetairfly: https...

LX-LGX you are making wild accusations and I would be very careful doing that. When there is a plane found by the 50 international brokers looking for aircraft besides ourselves, JAF will take it. The price for a long haul aircraft is around a certain price that you can expect every time when lookin...

You're totally right, somebody in Brussels decided to run into the cargo door with a lifter causing heavy damage and grounding the plane for two days.
