Re: Niki suspends its operations
Is Niki Lauda himself bidding together with Thomas Cook UK or are they bidding alone?

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
The first thing to do is make the federal government the decider on the noise restrictions in the whole country, then make a law on the base of an independent study.

Re: Niki stops its operations
Why doesn't LH try to acquire Niki via one of its foreign subsidiary airlines? I think that wouldn't violate the EU competition law.

Re: Lufthansa in 2017
I mean that they'll would have to lower their prices if a LCC joins routes where LH has a monopoly and they start losing passengers to the LCC.HQ_BRU_Lover wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 12:23Why should they? 80% of their plane is filled with transfer pax...

Re: Lufthansa in 2017
Yeah sure, but that is just an example to show that they ask a quite high price so many months in advance for an economy seat and this is in my opinion only because of the fact that they have a monopoly on the Brussels-Frankfurt route. If Ryanair or Easyjet steps in on this route and asks only 50 or...

Re: Brexit and British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, et al.
Yeah sure, but I'm not that sure that those agreements will be the first point of the agenda. I think it's quite likely that there is a period of no flights between the UK and Member States of the EU because of the time of the negociations needed.

Re: Airbus A380 news
I understand the point of EK that they need that big planes at airports with a limited amount of slots where they can't get a second or even third flight a day. If Airbus can find a way to lower the costs of the A380, this project is certainly not dead (yet).

Re: Brexit and British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, et al.
Well that's stupid, no flights between the EU and the UK. You can argue for a hard or soft Brexit, depending on which side you're on, but why should the citizen be the victim of all this?

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2017
That's such a d*** move from the French pilots. Honestly, I can understand that they want to organise a strike when this is the last solution, but it's very sad that it are always the passengers who have to carry the consequences. And the timing is even worse: let those passengers get at least to th...

Re: Lufthansa in 2017
To be fair, the prices are already quite high: a flight between BRU and FRA for July next year is already more than 100 euro's one way. That's quite a lot of money for a student who wants to go and spot some planes in FRA. I guess they can ask what they want as they are the only company on that rout...

Re: 2017 Ostend-Bruges Airport (OST) latest news
But in OST, TUI is alone! No competition whatsoever! Of course, but I think the question of ostair referred to the overlap between RYR & TUI at CRL, where they seem to be able to handle the competition. But regarding OST, as TUI is the first operator in years giving some future for the airport,...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
I really think that such pessimism isn't necessary or that there'll be bad management. Terzakis probably knows what he's doing and how to run an airline. It's not that he'll start an airline when he already knows from the beginning that the project will fail. ...probably...? What's his record? And,...
