I think a BRU - Dakar - Sao Paulo flight could work, if 5th freedom rights can be achieved between Dakar and Sao Paulo. Nonstop it will not work, since if you can fill the plane, the flight will still not be profitable. Unless of course you can get a plane with about 15 business and 140 economy seat...

Re: Brussels Airlines in need of A330 ccm's and pilots

BA is awake these days..... Was about time they woke up ... either way a Flight to Boston and maybe DC could work ... but Dallas :-s. There is almost no O&D to Dallas, and you don't need to do it for transfer pax either, since those can transfer to almost any major US city via either NY or ORD....

Hello AFApresident, The first flight, SN2263, arrives at 18:45 in CPH. If this flight would be possible for you after all, I wouldn't wait too long to book as both the early and late evening flight to CPH are filling up very fast. That is exactly why I find it weird, that they cancelled the morning...

No Sunday morning flight to CPH (from BRU)?

Hey, I was checking flysn.com to plan for my trip to Copenhagen next month. I need to be in downtown CPH at 1700 on Sunday Feb 18, however the first SN flight only lands at 1845 and the second flight of that day at 2155. In September there was still a morning flight on Sunday, it was full at that ti...

I've been wondering, how many tickets can be sold as b-flex or b-light? 40%-60%, 30%-70%, or is it able to fill a whole plane with only b-light tickets? What if b-light is sold out for a certain flight, are potential passengers offered a b-flex ticket, ... . B flex and B light have the same seats an...

Charging different prices based on your nationality would be illegal. Charging a different price based on a different "product" or route is not. It is very common that for example BRU - JFK - BRU has a different fare than JFK - BRU - JFK (on the same days). However an american or belgian b...

UA BRU - ORD?

I was checking for flights from Brussels to Chicago and apparantely UA is flying end of december BRU - ORD via DC as flight UA950/951.

Any confirmation of this route and a possible reason as why they switched from the tag on flight DC-SFO?

It will work to a certain extent. When there is sufficient O/D traffic it should be a non-stop flight. I.e. NY or ORD to FRA/CDG/LON/MAD. But to destinations like Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Milan, Straatsburg, Seville etc a hub is still a very viable option. And than average Joe won't bother...

I was on VEX 807 from Barcelona. We were kept in a holding patern over Aalst/Alost for nearly 20min, and were just about to set up for the approach in Charleroi, when we turned around again over the boat lift in Strépy-Thieu for a visual rwy 7L. A very nice approach over Koekelberg and the willebroe...

3 wounded (2 firefighters and 1 employee of Sabena Technics).

Insurance companies will pay for this normally. However the indirect costs (image + loss of revenues because you have less planes ... is most likely for the companies).

This is very bad news .. especially for Sabena Technics :? .Rebuilding a hangar is "easy", but the damage to the brand could be catastrophic and worst case mean... that the operations of Sabena Technics will never fully recover :(.
