Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

1) Really... no airline with 50-60 planes can develop without an alliance... Want me to make a list? Yes, please do. I am very interested which (European) airlines with a fleet of around 50-60 aircraft fly short haul and long haul and that are not part of an alliance or a larger group. I think the ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Some of his statements: - No airline with 50 or 60 aeroplanes can develop without an alliance. Some of the costs are the same as for an airline with 600 planes. - Brussels Airlines to operate the long-haul routes from Düseldorf: an opportunity to use the competencies of Brussels Airlines, since Fra...

Re: Lufthansa in 2018

About lh's new livery .. It seems they decided to modify it again, but just the colour which will be plain blue (io the dark black-ish colour à la NZ) I offer my design services to Lufthansa... I have 5 minutes design experience (thats 5 minutes more than those who came up with the new livery) Here...

Re: Lufthansa in 2018

Lufthansa said it is not interested anymore in A380s even though they are available cheaply. Lufthansa and the rest of the world... if the airplane was worth it I bet you Al Bakker would have added more of them but they're not.... Tim on the other hand wasn't born yesterday and knows that EK was th...

Re: Lufthansa in 2018

Lufthansa is looking at the A321LR, but CEO Carsten Spohr said it didn’t have the range for flights from Germany to the US. But did he think at Brussels Airlines? Yes he did... he found some cheap 737-300/400s in Africa and South America. The A320s SN operates now are too new! And US for Brussels A...

Re: Eurowings in 2018

Eurowings is in talks with Niki Lauda and others to lease planes and crew to reach a goal of growing its fleet to 210 planes (including those of Brussels Airlines). Eurowings plans to grow by over 30 aeroplanes, 70,000 flights, and 8 million passengers in 2018. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lu...

Re: Brussels Airlines' monthly traffic figures

LH baby LX had no growth last month while SN did 16.5%! Congrats to SN and wake up LH and invest some money in SN, don't get all new planes for LX and only second hand for SN ; don't just expand intercontinental routes for LX, expand them for SN as well. BRU has big potential being in the center of ...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

End of March start looks highly unlikely as they haven't taken any bookings yet however for the first time there are at least some positive signs... 2 planes arrived... training... thats all good... hopefully in the next week or so they get a green light to announce a schedule and start bookings... ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

I may be completely wrong but that doesn't really seem like the old mentality when they were trying hard for SN but now that the company is in hands of LH and that the future is up in the air they may not care as much and when it comes time to go home its bye bye... In any case my 15 years at Sabena...
