Re: First of April 2018 - EC Air

OK, but still and again: where do you see any suggestion of an incident?? “Breaking news: 757 next to the runway in Brussels” That refers to an incident/accident to me and honestly I don’t see anything funny in it, do you? Let’s classify it as a bad joke due to lack of inspiration, but please remov...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018

Come on, don't be so serious! Today is what today is, and I do not mean Easter. And if you do want to be serious: where is there any suggestion of any accident or even incident? I saw none - but perhaps I need some more coffee. That said: I liked the other "exceptional information" much b...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Why don’t they call Air Belgium? Two A340s ready to go with a couple of hours notice. (I know why, but I will be shot down in flames if I write it down) Who says they're ready to go in a couple of hours for SN?! Do you really think SN is cancelling (or delaying by 24h) long haul flights just becaus...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

I assume the cabin crew for the Paramaribo flight will be half Air Belgium, half Surinam. Impossible, as both airlines have different procedures. The minimum legal crew will be AB, whilst there will probably be extra Surinam crew with a commercial function only, they are not allowed to execute any ...

Re: VLM Airlines Regional (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018

And however much success it may have had "in days of yore" would be dimmed today by the Eurostar train service. Indeed, the Eurostar takes less time all the way to London than going through passport control in Brussels. High speed train is the better option for distances up to 600/700km, ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

The homebase is not Brussels. How is it then a "real" SN plane? Some very clever public servants at the European Institutions and unfallible impeccible indefictable members of the European Parliament have decided this for us. In the definitions in EU Rule 261/2004, they have decided: (a) ...

Re: Norwegian in 2018

Norwegian is in discussions to sell up to five A320neos, currently leased to HK Express (Hong Kong) with an estimated gain of US$15-20 million. Following the sale of aircraft, Norwegian estimates a net CapEx of $1.0-1.5 billion for 2018. Carrier announced it may sell superfluous aircraft. They have...

Re: Niki suspends operations, restarts as LaudaMotion

Laudamotion founder Niki Lauda says talks over wet-leases with Eurowings continue, as well as a marketing agreement with Condor, despite its new deal with Ryanair. Mr Lauda is probably very short of cash, Ryanair has to fund the start up costs of Laudamotion. The talks with others continue in case ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

the reason why they need to que is because they have to get the option between rebooking or compensation instead it's a Belgian law somehow.. asked it on a FB group and that's what someone responded .. that's why they can't rebook pax at once in case of cancellations and rerouting Pax wishing to ca...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation

Keep this discussion civilised, and don't start attacking one another. First and final warning. Wasn't this forum pro-aviation, pro-airport and more importantly pro airport jobs? These people can go elsewhere with their counter-productive and fake arguments. I find the very offensive for the airpor...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

It is more complicated, do you really wan’t to put the profit of a private company above human rights? You have linked "human rights" to aviation - in this case for an issue about traffic rights Congo-Belgium. Apart from Congo, there are a lot of other countries where human rights are not...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

No, it is not more complicated than that. De Croo, federal minister of Development, caused the problems, so he has to solve it. The problems started few weeks ago, when De Croo announced that he terminates the Cooperation Belge = the official funding channel. Actually, those are people on the field...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

There is a much cheaper solution: Alexander De Croo (junior) invites the Ambassador of Congo (and partner) to a dinner in the Comme Chez Soi. Alexander De Croo then tells the Ambassador that he apologizes for his statement that Belgium demands more results from its cooperation aid. De Croo explains...
