Re: 2018 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

Passenger: If I may ask, how often have you visited Belair at ANR? Both before and after the bombings at BRU/Maalbeek? I used to be a very frequent visitor of theirs, and the difference, both in amount and “style” of clientele, was spectacular before and after. The restaurant owner is not lying, bef...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2018

The single CRJ operating for SN seems to have flown on 24/11, and is still listed as scheduled on 25/11.
I don't think there will be any effects from the strike.

TAY811, OE-IFD, possible birdstrike after departure, diverted back to EBLG after a short excursion overhead West-Flanders.

Re: BRU 21/11/2018

Not directly, but if you look at the flightpaths of inbound/outbound traffic, you can make a (very) educated guess at what configuration is in use. (not only for BRU, by the way.)

Re: BRU 21/11/2018

Runway in use and possible future runway selection can be found on www.batc.be
Don't take it as gospel, though, check other sources like Flightradar24 or the likes.
It also never hurts to take a look at the weather forecast, this will give a rather nice indication which runways to expect.

Re: The one and only topic on which runway in use @EBBR

Like I said, it happens.
And in that case, it wasn’t due to the previous arrival vacating too late or slowly.

Re: The one and only topic on which runway in use @EBBR

Some caveats: The published 07L RNAV approach will "disappear" again when BUB VOR becomes available again. Since there's no offset, amongst other factors, the "HJ only" restriction is not necessary for the RNAV approach. Not all aircraft are capable/certified to fly this approach...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018

True, but today some other works were performed on 25L and 01, hence necessitating 07L/25R single.
Due to the wind, 07L was chosen.

Re: LGG 13/11/2018

N581JN seems more correct indeed.
I have no clue why AJK would not be correct. The MD-11s of Western Global visit EBLG quite often on a Bambi callsign.

EDIT: typo.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

OO-SFG is scheduled to arrive from Singapore around 1900 local as BEL9904, will go straight to the hangar so 25L is very likely.

It may be visible from the Haachtsesteenweg, though not in a decent position to make any decent photos.

Re: Ryanair in 2018

A rather strange reasoning behind the verdict indeed.
“All engines out” is also a procedure described in the manual of every aircraft, though I’d doubt you’ll find any pilot describes it as a part of normal flight operations.

Re: BRU 01.11.2018

Yes, it will be R2-D2 this time.
Last time there was an error in the photo database.
Somebody made a spelling mistake, and put in a photo of JA873A (the actual R2-D2 jet) on the registration of JA837A.
