I think people might view a foreign made Air Force One as a national security problem. Trust me, if more talk of an A380 happens in the next few months and years, you will hear the Lou Dobbs of the world crying about it. :D

They will use their fleet of 767-300's on that route.

Interesting, Continental would put its 777 fleet to good use on that potential route.

Texasguy, yet I wonder why the USAF would look outside the US when they can make a request to Boeing to make them new aircraft for their needs, or Lockheed Martin.

AA dominates the Latin American routes, but it is facing good competition from Continental in the Caribbean routes.

A380 as Air Force One.

Interesting story at flightglobal, but it will never happen, but then again, imagine if it does happen. :D

Interesting, I guess this is the response to the new ETOPS regulations, and more, AA's expansion, maybe done to keep up with Delta?? Interesting news though.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Carrier is Japanese. But this is indeed good news for the A380. :D

The man might have more knowledge of aviation, but that's not the point. The point is that he can't be relied on for objective view of the aviation industry, especially the products Boeing and Airbus develop. So whatever he says has to be viewed with his bias.

If you are stuck in an airplane for many hours, do you have the right to demand to get out of the plane? And if they don't let you out, do you have the right to force yourself out of the plane? There are people lobbying for a passangers bill of rights, but I don't know how effective it will be. The...

When I said if the A380 is viable, I meant financially. A few weeks ago I did read an article where John Leahy predicted sales of 900 A380 which will help put a profit for Airbus. The question is, who will buy the planes, and I have always believed that there are customers, not alot of them, but eno...

Eventually publications will start to ignor ethe prattlings of this utter buffoon. Is this not the guy that was quoted in an 'impartial report' only for it later to be uncovered that the report was paid for by Boeing? Sure I read that somewhere....still as long as some people take his word as some ...
