Re: Airbus A380 news
just like the SLS was for mercedes, the new i8 for BMW,... airbus had great profit of the A380 project aside from the direct A380 model sales. the only real error they made imo was to go with the idea that a A388 wouldn't be big enough and the whole design needed to support an easy stretch up to the...

Re: Possible strike at Belgocontrol on 25 June
If you make a mistake out there, it's jail time, a lot of dead people on your mind, etc... So if you carry that kind of liabilities as part of your job, you should at least be rewarded as decently as possible instead of being paid the same salary that you can get working at Deloitte, where the grea...

Re: Are noise complainers "fussy" ?
the wind direction is the most important factor when talking about noise from take-off and taxi
still, the airport is there and will stay there!
if you live close to a vulcano you also know there's a chance you'll get covered in vulcano dust some day

Re: Ryanair in 2014
even with chokes placed this could happen. i remember we had one at BRU that jumped over its chokes because of heavy winds years ago. I can not imagine that hapening when there are chokes placed at each wheel bogie. Unless a huricane would hit the airport. idd only one of the front wheels and one o...

Re: Are noise complainers "fussy" ?
the sound of modern aircraft isn't that disturbing anyway. atleast not to prevent you from sleeping.
people complaining should be forced to move away from the airport, shut up or be put to sleep permanently

Re: No third handler for BRU.
the reason why BRU is so expensive is because split shifts are needed due to peak and ghost town moments but the unions are against this and go on strike every time they hear the words "split shift"...

Re: Ryanair in 2014
you people always make stories based on some "overall net number"
you should compare operational numbers, it might be they improve their operational level but see a decrease in subsidies

Re: Unions at Swissport in Brussels call for a strike.
If they'll strike I think FR will switch very quickly to aviapartner ;) aviapartner might be bankrupt in a few weeks... and JAF is looking to switch back to swissport. I used to work for Swissport for 3 months and I am happy not to work any longer for them. I call it "social dumping". Spl...

air travel a privilege and not a right!
now i don't understand why they can't just change the tax rules for belgian based airlines to support them instead of this sort of hidden subsidies via BRU

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective
as far as i know they just lower the regular belgian tax rate for the belgian airlines to that of ireland which results in those returning euro's. if the EU will deny this they will be forced to start leveling those fields in all of the EU
