AF117.gif Back to the old days. H.A. Right, when a BRU-Tokyo via Anchorage in the summer was a day flight all along. And you were being served lunch non-stop as it was about noon during the whole flight. :D And wasn't the Sabena crew based in ANC on TDY for one month? memories, memories. H.A. Could...

Re: Alitalia saved by the Government and reborn as ITA
SN's CEO Peter Gerber, who seems to appreciate the more pleasant strikes in Belgium than in Germany, might soon have the opportunity to enjoy the well-known Italian variant, then.

Whether it be with her pre-flight check procedures or her in-flight communications skills, or her relaxed ways, this girl's mastery is really impressive! A real pro from head to toe!

Re: Air Belgium in 2022
Air Belgium will restart its route between Charleroi and Fort-de-France, via Pointe-a-Pitre on the return trip, next week, after having suspended its flights to Martinique. Flights begin 11 January 2022 with A340-300. Pointe-à-Pitre restarted in December. Also, as admin of a certain Facebook group,...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2022
When it was said that SFJ was joining the fleet as a back-up, I thought SN would take the opportunity to add a long haul flight: JFK, that is not daily yet, or IAD that was discontinued from October last year.
Is their pax volume still too low for a few additional flights per week?

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2021
OO-SFG operating SN243 ROB-BRU diverted to PMI this early morning. Short turnaround, landing 0355 and TO 0439, a 44-minute pit stop. STA BRU is 0510 but according to Flightstats.com it seems the delayed arrival in BRU was determined well before the take-off from Monrovia. Flightstats SN243 29DEC.pn...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2021
Re the re-start of Conakry and Ouaga destinations (cfr the SN fleet thread), it's a pity SN had to suspend them for 2 years (they re-open next June). They will have to rebuild their market share, maybe not from scratch, but still not an easy task. Hopefully they built a good enough reputation there,...

SN501 (OO-SFG) was off Southern Ireland when it was diverted to Dublin. Apparently still AOG there.

It's a paint job on OO-SSO Kinda weird that they choose an A319 for this and not OO-SFB... Owh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyway: Maybe a retro Sabena livery, for Sabena being 20y bankrupt? (or are they changing the name back, that would be shocking  - Sarcasm ) EAF says in the paintshop and Skyli...

Re: Air Belgium in 2021
Well, it doesn't have any success for long-haul...because the airport is designed to be fort low-cost short haul maybe? I'm not frustrated about that, it's just what it is. You're right: it was certainly not designed for the current traffic. And today's success was never expected. They are trying t...

I found this on airliners.net but no other link posted...anyone has any idea what it could be? New routes? Rebranding? More collaboration with other *alliance members? New aircraft (apart from the 3 a320 neos) Or more cost cutting measures that Sphor loves to do at SN? https://www.airliners.net/for...
