Flights are further suspended until June 1st. No surprise here, there are just no bookings to justify a restart.
Some cargo-only flights might take place towards Africa as from next week.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
If the ten aircrafts include OO-SFJ/K/L/P and the Cityjet CRJs, it would be rather good news. But I fear that CRJs are considered as outsourced production. And the four ex-Lufthansa's A333, despite being OO-registered, still in Lufthansa's books as Lufthansa mainline assets... I rather fear that the...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Tomorrow is D-Day for Brussels Airlines. Possibly large number of layoffs for a much smaller but viable carrier. Curious. Tomorrow is today. Something happened ? For as far as we know, no big announcement (like e.g. Austrian 's press release) made at today's "virtual meeting". But maybe a...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
I won't resume the discussion on refunds, but it's now very clear that SN is in deep need of cash. Ryanair is very responsive on refunds it seems, this won't help SN commercially either. Yesterday I could grab some info thanks to a friend working there: - May 15th is the earliest date to restart SOM...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
I was due to fly BRU-Montreal in June, outbound on SN, inbound on AC... and my outbound leg is now rebooked on Air Canada (seemingly on a Dreamliner). :( It wasn't an SN award fare but well a Star Alliance business fare I was booked on Lufthansa site. I'm not sure they're going to start Montreal ops...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
I was talking to a good friend TRI/TRE flying for Brussels Airlines and the future looks very dark. Lufthansa Group will give financial priority to Lufthansa FIRST and nothing is sure about a Belgian State Aid, cash situation is critical at SN as we speak (type...). The current situation is that SN ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Finally some time to write here something after a very hectic time. Sorry if the question was already but I had no time to read everything On our Brucargo it is now busier than ever. Really a lot of cargo flights and even more to come. There is even lack of capacity as belly cargo felt away. Would ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Does this one have the full new cabin C-W and Y ? :?: As for the paint scheme, I trust SN's brains creativity at b.house to issue a drawing contest and a scheme that will be stickered to stay on the "reboot" scope and frame (with the internal moto "da moet niks kosten hé"). Jokes...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
What I read here is utter BS. The situation where there is only one F.A in the aft galley is when the duty free sales are in progress or the inventory and sales are being completed in the front / mid galley by the rest of the F.A. That might take up to 3 (!!) hours on a december or july Kinshasa fli...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
The remaining lease contract on SFX and uncertain future of that specific plane afterwards doesn't make a 10 million Euro investment in all new seats, galleys, lighting,... - like on the 7 'new' purchased (by LH) A333s - worth it. A pity yes in product consistency, but same issue as on the 2 remain...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
OO-SFX was indeed the first "new" A333 of the renewal project, when they received it, it had the SQ Regional interior. During its previous C-check it received the standard SN interior (I think in MLA) but this was done before the newest product was introduced. Hence, I assume they wanted t...

OO-SFT stuck in Toronto / CYYZ. Engine failed to start up upon pushback. Pax remained seated four hours on-board and they never found a suitable solution. The rep told me the spare-part needed to come from BRU, strange since P&W is a US-Canada joint-venture... No more YYZ flights until Dec.17th...

Re: Eurowings in 2019
Perhaps the moment to send back the A330 to SN. And end of DUS The base of the long-haul fleet of SN is ten A330 (two -200 and eight -300 when SFU will be replaced by SFH currently in cabin works straight from HK to AMM). That's the fleet needed to operate the current schedule (let's say the peak o...

The extraordinary works council meeting will take place on Thursday at 08:30. That's when management will officially inform the representatives of the workers. The rest is only guesses, or leaks. Dear sn26567, If I post the info, it means it's reliable, what more do you want ? Screenshots of union ...
