Re: Taxi drivers in Brussels are not friendly - Tripadvisor
For the none Belgians: Because Brussels Airport is not located in Brussels, taxi's from Brussels can only drop of pax at the airport and vice versa, so all the taxi's driving between the airport and the city centre drive 50% of the time empty. This is the reason, the fares are so high and why (some...

Re: Elections 2014: Wathelet wants less flights at BRU
Should be noted, and it only makes it worse, that most full cargo flights that stopped operating at BRU or reduced frequencies were in no way to the benefit of LGG. Only ET left to LGG, mainly due to traffic rights reasons. ALL others ended up in airports in other countries: AMS, FRA, MST, LUX, ......

When I started the talk about flemish extremists, it was just to answer to some extremists talk higher up... Ah, good ol' turddrop is calling anyone disagreeing with the Walloon politicians 'extremists' again. What happened to Xenophobic? People venting these extreme words about posters, when logge...

Re: sound barrier
The purpose of the flight was to collect data on a new leading-edge design for the wing. Was just watching this interesting docu 'Skygate' from pilots for 9/11 truth which has some good information and interesting footage on this subject :geek: . The modified DC-8 story gets mentioned at 35:12, see...

Re: RYR to be kicked out of BRU ?
If all is within the law, the court will declare the case inadmissible/onontvankelijk.
nothing todo with fair or unfair. If you feel mistreated, you are free(have the right) to go to court and file a case. Court will see if there is ground or not. no biggie.

Re: Elections 2014: Wathelet wants less flights at BRU
Forget the lgg and crl part... Of course it could go anywhere. And crl does follow a curfew also. The discussion here is about bru. And only bru. "If the Flemings complain so much about noise from the airport of Zaventem, then a relocation of the air transport and all the associated jobs to th...

Re: Unions at Swissport in Brussels call for a strike.
aviapartner might be bankrupt in a few weeks... Don't think it'll go that fast, but pretty sure in the bigger scheme of things and the way it is heading now, WFS will -finally- buy them out cheap and get the tender ramp handling at BRU, as they always wanted. I used to work for Swissport for 3 mont...

Re: Elections 2014: Wathelet wants less flights at BRU
The discussion here is about bru. And only bru. You think too local.. Anyone with some common sense can read between the lines and conclude that "more suitable airports", is meant to read CRL and LGG. The words 'hidden agenda not so hidden anymore' come to mind, I think it was put in a mu...

And as I don't want to be on a forum with toddlers, I decide to quit. Have fun throwing mud at each other, but try to grow up a little. I do apologize to the Luchtzak Team and other members and thank them for more than 9 years of (mostly) good discussions and information. Real shame since your inpu...

Re: Brucargo: cargo routes, news, Brucargo West, Diabolo.
The thought of bringing in the 747-8 is a rumour for more than a year now. It's the same as KE. A lot off fuss about a lot off hot air. But at best it turns out to be a gentle breeze. Don't know for the KE, but for SV it was obvious as from day 1 that the -8 would be used on FRA mainly, certainly (...

Don't know for the parking positions.. Do know that SV's plan is to take their MD11 freighters out of service, and start flying 747-8F on BRU as of june.. But timiing is relative when talking SV

Re: Ryanair at Brussels Airport - reason for clean-up
It's not about "more and more spoken of on this forum", me thinks this thread was started for another reason. Topics get cleaned up more and more past few weeks than I've seen in some time on any forum. Somehow it's always loads of dialogues always with the same prson with the same argumen...

't Is idd bizar en zeer Belgisch om te zien. Dat bv rondleidingen in Oostende in NL gebeuren en niet per se tweetalig zijn ok, maar waarom geen franstalige en/of engelstalige infobrochure? Vind'k voor zo'n zaken altijd positief en basis, maar soit.

Re: Ryanair passengers held hostage
Weird to see another YT vid about an FR flight ending up with the police coming to the rescue of the passengers, while the crew just stands there and doesn't grow a pair; just break the seal and give drinks and food.. Human beings for hours with so many in a metal frame in the middle of the night.. ...
