Re: 2016 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news
Belgocontrol strikes again. Liège unavailable for arrivals 15.30-17.30 UTC, 17.30-19.30 local time - ATC staffing problem. Source : Eurocontrol It looks like we are living in an underdeveloped country! Please stop this misinformation. Have you seen "strike" in your Eurocontrol source (If ...

Re: CRL will be closed Wed. 20/04/2016 morning
Ah, by the way, about 80% of ATCOs are in the Guild. Ha, so my informations are reliable ? It's too easy to choose the ones that help you... De Tijd mentioned that the average is E 144k, and I see no reason to doubt that number De Tijd mentioned 80 members, and you see a reason to doubt that number...

Re: CRL will be closed Wed. 20/04/2016 morning
That's a good question and I have a good answer: say they have been flexible for 7 years, than the average ATCO got 1 million euro's in return. Please stop with those ridiculous numbers, or show us a proof (other than a press article)... Regarding flexibility... when you're at your maximum, there's...

Re: CRL will be closed Wed. 20/04/2016 morning
A duty that can be expected for the right to a 6-figure salary is some flexibility, That simple part shows where you take your informations from... The salary of the ATCOs is public, meaning everyone can find it... as already mentioned here (and it's far from a 6-figure salary) Besides that, from w...

Re: CRL will be closed Wed. 20/04/2016 morning
^^ That sounds like a smart solution. I hope that'll also make Belgacontrol staff understand they're not irreplaceable, and act accordingly. By the way, it's Belgocontrol, not Belgacontrol... Smart people start to understand what's going on... and start looking on the management rather than the atcos

You know, Germany has changed since 1945... and their way of negotiations could be an inspiration for us, and has nothing to see with "german discipline".Acid-drop wrote: For adults, I have only one religion : german discipline.

Ah, by the way, about 80% of ATCOs are in the Guild.
As you mentioned somewhere else, 60% of them were part of the "unfit to work" , so that makes them less represented..

What happens now was bound to happen... It's just how things are now in Belgium, collapsing because of the lack of investments. As wrote earlier, and in other topics, it is PROVEN that there is not enough staff to ensure traffic levels. There have been several "soft" warnings regarding thi...

Re: CRL will be closed tomorrow morning
Once again, this has nothing to see with mafia or blackmail or whatever or any political manoeuvre you might imagine. Don't worry, if Belgocontrol's management could say it's a strike, they would considering the relations between management and ATCOs It's just bad management, and now not enough staf...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike 12/13 April 2016
That's unbelievable because the subject of said letter is "Update + outcome negotiations", so it's not a regular newsletter. Literally every other word in that letter is about what management did wrong and what action to take, so it only makes sense that applies to the mentioning of that ...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike 12/13 April 2016
Hue, why do you ignore the elephant in the room? How come Maryse reminded people about the 'unfit to work' rule that had no relevance being there other than as planned course of action, and then a few days later many became 'unfit to work'? This is regularly reminded for months (in almost every mai...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike from 12 April 2016
Also I've heard that 60+% of the newly unfit atco's were members of the BGATC, that represents ~25% of all atco's. You might be able to deny or confirm this. But, if true, a bit too coincidental no? You should check the numbers of affiliates, not believing what medias tell you... All the ATCOs repo...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike from 12 April 2016
Good moment for management to declare a war with ATCOs... Not smart to consider an agreement with the Socialist union as a declaration of war imo. . Ask syndicalists, even green and blue feel betrayed and have never seen a common union (between unions) being that betrayed. Socialists signed on thei...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike from 12 April 2016
I'm not entering again the debate on is it a strike or not, is it a good moment or not... we won't agree anyway. Just this remark already shows the truth. If it isn't a strike and people were really unfit to work you can't argue it is a good moment at the same time. Good moment for management to de...

These are not facts: these are your own opinion. So don't blame other luchtzak members they only "want to hear anything else then their own opinion". Actually, that's what this forum exists: to give ones personal opinion. Understaffing is a mathematical fact. You need X persons to staff a...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike from 12 April 2016
In case they forgot, some 3 weeks ago the airport was victim to a terrible crime, and the community has worked day and night to get it back on its feet ATCOs are amongst the very people that worked hard to allow flights to operate. They had to find solutions when BRU closed just before the arrival ...
