End of March, the Brussels Airlines flights that we booked got cancelled. I am now entering the booking reference and name but the computer says "no" booking available (we are unable to display your booking details). Any other suggestion besides hanging in their callcenter or via social me...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
The difference between Alitalia and Brussels Air is that the Italian government will do everything to keep them alive. The Belgian government will not, like with Sabena in 2001.

Sure, let’s hire those workers at less pay, work harder and already less favorable conditions than at Swissport. Everybody happy.

Re: Swissport Belgium nv/sa bankruptcy
Swissport Belgium was in terrible shape long before the corona crisis. Airlines lowering costs all over the place, at the expense of employees. Working harder, less wage, more flexibility etc ... There should be a drastic change in how things work with a minimum price of airline tickets and handling...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Imho, CS's plan B (which could actually be his plan A) is to let go bust both LH ans SN (and OS ?) and replace LH's and SN's intra-European flights by EW. Now, what about the intercontinental flights ? New collective agreement, inferior remuneration and working conditions. I doubt trade unions woul...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Brussels Airlines's plan is to reduce the total amount of early morning arrivals into Brussels (the so-called nightstop-reduction), and to let its African fleet depart later. In my opinion, this is NEVER going to work. I remember that Brussels Airlines tried this in the past, e.g. very early outboun...

The employees that will stay on board will be offered a new collective labor agreement, less salary, more working and less rest between the duties. Still a lot of talking to be done between management and unions.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
So my suggestion to the Belgian government, is to try to look if LH can give hard guarantees for growth and investments in SN, and I don't mean something written on a restaurant napkin. More jobs, more aircraft, flights to Asia, major expansion in Africa, expansion to Latin America, etc... If they ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
If they write off there investment and leave Brussels Airlines no problem the state will nationalise the company and look for another partner. I'm sure it will be easy to find a new partner with a state guaranty of 290 million ( or a participation)and workers ready to sacrifice part of their salary...

Air France - KLM group receives stated aid for 12 billion, Brussels Airlines only asks 290 million. There is a rumour that about 20 years ago, the French government allegedly bought two business class seats on every Air France flight. To avoid a fine by the European Commission. When Sabena went bank...

Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
I think that - looking at the rapid spread of the virus - more governments will decide to lock down countries and that many more airlines will stop flying for the coming weeks.
