Air Algérie could select Airbus to renew its fleet

Air Algérie could select Airbus to renew its fleet, according to "Le Journal du Dimanche". The order could be for as many as 40 planes. The negotiations between the airline, which currently uses mainly Boeing aircraft, and the European constructor would be at the final stage.

Boeing 777-300 ER Order Update

A Boeing 777-300 ER took the air last week. The aircraft manufacturer has orders for 56 777-300ERs, and first delivery to ILFC is scheduled for April 2004. ILFC will lease this aircraft to Air France.

South African Airways Fleet Update

South African Airways announced that it has leased ex-Lufthansa A340-200 from Airbus Asset Management, and plans to lease 4 more aircraft. The aircraft is the first of 6 to be traded in by Lufthansa as part of December 1997 order for 10 A340-600s.
