Wasn't this only applicable on the flights within the UK and Ireland? I believe that is how it was reported on airliners.net. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Re: future of BMI, SN to Heathrow

I suppose that you mean Humberside when you say Hull as a KLM destination. To reach Hull, you still have to cross the mighty Humber estuary. Just a detail , not to ennoy you. Humberside is a tiny miny little airport. But it is very important since the merger of British steel and Hoogovens in the gr...

Re: Charleroi Airport (CRL) latest news

The number of destinations should be over 90 in the future. This is getting completely out of control :) Who ever thought of such a speedy growth Didn't MoL predicted a few years ago that the CRL base would have 15 aircraft by 2010-2012? Everyone (myself included) thought he was crazy, but they can...

I thought they operated the 744 combi's only for a short while as combi's, and that they were flying around as full pax aircraft for quite some time now?

Re: Our first President?

He is not a President like Obama in the USA, he is just the president of the meeting of the 27 heads of state of the EU members. Big difference imho. He will not have his own plane, he will not even have that much power... He is the face of the EU, and the mediator between the 27 EU members, and tha...

Why did they return to the 'Belgian Air Force' titles iso. the 'Belgian Defence' titles?

BAF looks better imho, but I thought Belgian Defence was now the official name of the air component of the Belgian army?

Re: First Boeing 747-8 Freighter Leaves Factory

How is that a cool c/s ? It's just boring white with a blue tail and a line across the fuselage.

If only they hadn't fucked up with both the 787 and 748, then the original dreaminer livery would still be used maybe, and that is a cool livery!

Re: Double AOG for QF A380

Just guessing here, but could it be possible that they subbed the A380 with a 747 that was due to leave later, and the 120 pax mentioned in the article were left behind because the 747 was full? Just guessing here, but 120 pax on an A380 is a really low load, and the 120 pax seem just about right fo...

Re: Infrastructure of Brussels Airport

The future of aviation is with the LCC, like it or not. And long haul LCC will soon be with us. Long Haul LCC is a mith that does not exist. All the traditional LCC methods do not work or become irrelivant on long haul (fast turn-around, no service, etc.). Even Michael O'Leary from FR has said that...

I almost feel weird saying this, but that would look far better with the AF tail on it. Why aren't they being a bit more creative with the brand of a high-end regional airline?

Just a matter of time before they will stop washing those planes and they turn plain grey-ish :D

With the 65 milion Euro they can already take some action, no? Or will they just sit on the money like a Swiss banker or mother goose who's watching her eggs? The current shareholders have agreed to give themselves an important dividend (€45M+) so most of the money LH pays, will go straight into th...
