Re: Ryanair in 2015
I wonder, why wasn't this cabin bag handed back to her right the steps of the plane upon arrival in BRU? I know several other airlines do this at BRU and in this case it would potentially avoid the problem of the very bad luggage handling at BRU which Sean highlighted. Especially hand luggage may b...

Re: Ryanair in 2015
The "BV" pay the same price as the "not BV", why should they be privileged ? Are you sure that Phara did not pay for a business package, allowing her to sit in the front of the aircraft? Yes. Because otherwise her bag would have been on board (one of the advantages of Plus, no b...

And whatever Brussels Airlines its name will be in the future, BrusselsWings, Germanwings, Eurowings, whateverwings... it will at least be 50 times more Belgian than ... and other low costs of this world. Because with SN the vast majority in the BRU hub are actually...Belgian!   As ...

Re: Did Brussels Airlines hire 20 Lufthansa student pilots?

So if I understand it correctly, these German pilots are already type-rated on A320, reason why they have been chosen.... Next question.....how long does it take to train a 'Belgian' pilot fresh from school (BAFA, C...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2015
But is there any notion of "right of way" ? In controlled airspace, the controller decides it all, I should think? There is "captain's discretion" to overrule tower instructions, sure enough, but that will have to be based on safety above all - and will have to be explained, pro...

Re: JFK 19/3 Snow and de-icing
Actually, I've had the first step being just hot water and second step type II. Fluid decision is a combination of the precipitation, required holdover time (%) and the LOUT (lowest operational usage temperature) to maintain a 7 degree buffer to the fluid freezing point. (10 degree for type I). That...
