You are telling me that I don't know what kind of contract I have

About 40 Belgian pilots and cabin crew will loose their job in Brussels, because SN did not renew the Flybe contract yet. Not a Brussels Airlines decision, but one made in Frankfurt...

On their website they write 'Non-stop flights from Belgium
Don't wait around. You can enjoy swift direct flights to far away destinations such as Brussels to Hong Kong.'

Sounds like Brussels will be their base

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

Other airlines do it as well: an example is Alitalia; flying many Irish registered planes... so doesn't seem to be an issue.

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2017

The way they hire their pilots is very frustrating indeed for experienced pilots like me who would like to join them. On the other hand have they offered many pilots their first jobs. The terms and conditions are what they are and it is up to the pilots to accept them. What I find annoying is that t...

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

It is a Belgian problem. Was at Charleroi Airport on Monday and got a very bad attitude from the people there as well. They refuse to speak any other language than French, not even English. This is just not acceptable when you work in an airport, but it is unfair to say it is only a problem at Antwe...

Re: Ryanair in 2017

Now that the program for next winter is online we can see further reductions in the flying from Brussels BRU. As it stands at the moment it seems that there are 23% less weekly flights: 139 weekly departures next winter, currently 181. No longer available for booking are Hamburg (-14), Grenoble (-1)...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

With Cityjet downsizing at LCY I think it is just a matter of time before they stop the flights to ANR. Theye want to become a wet lease provider, not the other way around. Jetairfly 3 times weekly or a new VLM at 2 (?) daily to BER or MIL is not the same. And at that time a price war was going on b...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

Two corrections: ANR-RTM-HAM and ANR-MUC and not MBX.

The plan from ANR kind of makes sense to me: HAM, BER, PRG, MUC, ZRH, MIL, LCY and MAN scheduled. JER and BIQ during weekends? Plus 2 F50s for Vizionair...

What worries me is everything else...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017

If you have a look at their presentation you can see their planned network including routes from ANR and OST. You can also read that they plan to have 2 AOCs: one in Belgium and one with 320 and 330 in Slovenia.

When will Ryanair release all flights of the Winter1718 season for booking? Currently most routes from Belgium are bookable. CS100 would be a great option too and probably cheaper than the E2. CS100 has great short field performance for ANR and would be able to fly 135 passengers all the way to Malaga and further.
