Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation
For the rest, I don't know if it's against BAC policy to take and share pictures from the tarmac? I would be highly surprised if this were the case. Except maybe for pictures of military buildings, planes and installations, I'm not aware of a law forbidding the use of pictures of commercial planes ...

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2020
If FR24 is correct, then EK 181 made a missed approach at BRU on 16/2 during the storm, and immediately diverted to ZRH (without making a new trial to land). Is this a normal procedure? Why divert to Zurich? Was there no alternative closer to BRU? Only 90 minutes later, the plane returned to BRU. Re...

I guess if they intented to repaint OO-SFH, it would also have been done in AMM?
Or are the planes (re)painted at a different location?

Is it also painted in the modified Brussels Airlines colours with the white belly, like OO-SFF?DeltaWiskey wrote: ↑26 Nov 2019, 10:44 OO-SFH is currently flying from HKG to AMM for cabin retrofit. It's the last one (7th) of the current A330 refleet program.
How long does the cabin retrofit usually take?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
We flew economy class with El Al, and it was by far the best medium-haul flight I've ever had. There was plenty of legroom, every single seat got an audio system with headset so you could listen to the flims that were played on the overhead screens or to up to 15 different radio stations. We got a ...

Is SN still flying to TLV? Security doesn't seem too guaranteed... Yes, SN still flies to TLV, even mostly twice a day... (although the second flight is a "night flight", leaving Brussels at 9.30 pm and arriving in TLV at around 2 am...) I flew to TLV last month, and was surprised to see ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
It seems the problems with the A333's are mostly happening with OO-SFE, -SFF and SFG, so the newer and most recently introduced ex-SQ or ex-CX aircraft.
Is this a coincidence?
I thought the newer aircraft would reduce the operational difficulties...

Duke

777 Cruise altitude
On my last longhaul trip with a B 777-300 I noticed that the cruise level of the plane in the early stages of the flight never passed above 31-33.000 feet. Only about halfway the plane climbed to around 36.000 feet, and only in the final stage to 38.000 feet. On FR24, I see the "newer" gen...

Re: KLM and/or AMS Amsterdam Schiphol Airport - Latest news 2019
But some people will pretend that everything at AMS is better than BRU... Well, to be honest, I had a very good experience with AMS. On July 20, a very busy day at AMS, our flight (GA 88 from Jakarta) landed at 7.28 am. At 8.10 am we were already in our car on our way home (luggage delivery, custom...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Those aren’t available second hand. LH didn’t retract that only profitable airlines receive new equipment. That applies to ‘network airlines’ as well. OS getting second hand airplanes, while LX and LH receive new ones. Maybe more efficient planes are exactly what SN needs to become a profitable net...

Maybe we can start dreaming about A330-neo's?
And A220's for the European routes, to replace the older A319's?
Let's keep fingers crossed!

Also, just 15 minutes turnaround time in TFS seems very short, no?

Re: Question on Airplane Boarding
On Emirates, a zone is mentioned on the boarding pass.
Boarding calls are made using the different zones (passengers seating in the back of the plane board first).
This seems to be working quite well, I'm surprised that this is not standard procedure with other carriers...

Re: KJK 29/05/19 B738 OO-TUV
According to FR24, it did KJK-LIS today.
Special charter?
Is the runway at KJK long enough for such a take-off?
About 10 years ago, there was a special 737 flight from KJK to Jersey; return flight the same day... I was happy to be one of the passengers then.
