Re: British airways to LHR on an A320
hey Sean, congrats! When are you starting with your training? In July last year I flew BA from BRU via LHR on my way to Australia with QF. From what I've noticed: from the 100 aboard, about 10 individuals went to the exit, everybody else to the busses and of those, about 70 went to T3. So I guess it...

Re: To dubai, B777 or A380 ?
And why not BRU-DXB and DXB-DUS??? Like that you have both of them. I think that's the best option if it's in your possibility to go to/from 2 different airports. I flew the QF A380 in premium economy (upper deck) and was amazed by the quietness of the plane. Boarding and deboarding were more fluen...

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing
With this uncertainty lifted, now they could perhaps analyse what kind of impact would cause the damage seen on the aileron and determine whether it was a ditching or a nose-down dive. What I wonder is why the aerial/satellite search has not found this debris before it washed up on Reunion. Makes m...

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing
Confirmed: Debris found on La Réunion is from 9M-MRO. "On 8 March 2014, flight MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing disappeared. The days, weeks and months that followed have been a period of torment for the families of those on board. The plane’s disappearance was without precedent. At every sta...

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing
It is now officially confirmed that the flaperon is effectively a part of a Boeing 777. Investigation is ongoing if it was actually part of 9M-MRO: "On Aug 2nd 2015 Malaysia's Transport Ministry announced that the aircraft part found on Jul 29th 2015 at Reunion has been officially identified as...

Interesting piece on someone who claims to have found - and later burnt - a blue seat, and 2 suitcases.

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing
Martin Dolan, the chief commissioner of the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, told CNN on Friday that he is "increasingly confident, but not yet certain" that debris found on the French island of Reunion this week is from MH370. Wasn't he the one who believed the plane would've been fou...

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing
Looking at a map of the Indian Ocean, La Réunion Island is very, very far from where search teams have been looking for MH370. I read also that some crashes were much closer to this island: a 747 and a 767, among others. After the Xmas tsunami in Indonesia from a couple of years ago, lots of rubble...

Re: Emirates A380 at BRU ?
the anniversary is 1 thing,
but isn't the underlying factor that they just want to check how fast BRU can handle the A380? to have a look how prepared they are to receive the whale?
long short: if it's actually possible to start an A380 daily to BRU iso the B77W?

Re: Trivia 2015 (miscellaneous news)
If I remember correctly, the debt when filed for bankruptcy was something like 300million euro's. The airport on the other hand has a single runway, one of the longest in Europe. Should be ideal for cargo purposes. Edit: this is an article from 2011: http://elpais.com/elpais/2011/10/31/inenglish/132...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
BRU needs nor parking yes, but that would be a weird and even inconvenient location for a large parking lot. For the Passport building itself, it has to be considered that at such a location many more people will come by public transport. Is 360 enough? Sounds low for me as well, but why would they...

Re: Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is missing
Another mastermind has made a theory of his own: DOHA, Qatar -- The plight of Malaysia Airlines flight 370 (MH370) is one of the biggest mysteries in aviation history, but an interdisciplinary research team led by Texas A&M University at Qatar mathematician Goong Chen has theorized the ill-fated...
