Re: Ryanair in 2016
DUB from 2 or 3 daily to 4 weekly is what I call moved and btw they did the same with BCN at CRL. At first after the move to BRU they continued to operate a few weekly services and then closed it.

Re: Ryanair in 2016
Ok they launch new routes, just don't like the way they inflate their news. CRL: Biarritz: not a new route, but now year round Bucarest: from 7 to 9 weekly Verona: not a new route, moved from BRU Toulouse: new daily route Sofia: new route 4 weekly (Wizzair 4 weekly existing route) Timisoara: new rou...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
According to VLM in German newspapers 1450 or 1750 tickets sold for flights from FDH in the first 5 days (different numbers in newspapers). Most tickets for flights to TXL and HAM, just few to DUS due to business profile of passengers of this destination. They will also start weekly charter flights ...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
The SSJ100 is able to operate from ANR with and without restrictions depending on destination. As far as I know the deal for the SSJ100 was never finished. It is still in the stage of 'Letter of Intend'. Sukhoi itself stated not too long ago that they expeted VLM to return to the table soon to firm ...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2014-2015
Last flight ANR to BHX in booking engine on flyvlm.com is 4 March 2016 (return BHX-ANR still available after 4 March 2016). Not looking good for VLM operation at ANR. I hope that VLM will make a clear statement in January 2016 about their future route plans. Also about what routes will be cancelled,...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2014-2015
Last flight ANR - GVA in booking engine is 14 February 2016. I wonder what is going to happen with the BHX flight which is normally operated with the airplane arriving from GVA. Today: New routes FDH to DUS, HAM and TXL Cancelled route ANR to GVA. VLM says money from Fokker 50s sale will be invested...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2014-2015
All in gamble can burn all the money there is left in the bank in a few weeks, even before they are able to reduce the schedule. And then there is no more VLM. My opinion is that they are not in the position for a big gamble. Also look at ANR with the reduced schedule to GVA: was two daily, reduced ...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2014-2015
Entering the Friedrichshafen market sounds like an ok idea. No competition from other airlines and a proven market (not a big market). Just putting in 3 airplanes is too big to start an operation. If I was VLM management I would start with just one F50 and fly 2 daily to Hamburg and daily to Berlin....

Re: 2016 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) Latest News
In general I think it is correct that there is limited potential for ski destianations from Antwerp. However I do see potential for Salzburg. Good for several ski resorts, but also potential as citytrip destination. And popular from RTM and EIN with Transavia, so you can offer Dutch travellers livin...

Re: VLM Airlines taken over by management, buys SSJ100 aircraft
http://www.pressreader.com/belgium/gazet-van-antwerpen-metropool-stad/20151208/281917362014098/TextView So VLM admits that ANR-GVA isn't doing well. Since the ticket fares have gone up from 15 February 2016 to minimum 155 EUR One way I think the route will be ended from that date onwards or at least...

Re: VLM Airlines taken over by management, buys SSJ100 aircraft
There is no mention of VLM Airlines Belgium being close to brankruptcy in the article of detijd.be The article only states that the deal offered by the management was rejected by the staff. Management not taking a paycut, but Capts 17%, FOs 10%, FAs 5% and no cut for groundstaff. Union demands an eq...

Re: VLM Airlines taken over by management, buys SSJ100 aircraft
When VLM Airlines became independent last year they had to find a new market for them to survive. They decided they wanted to have VLM branded flights again as they used to have in the past. VLM still has a very good reputation, a reputation Cityjet never had. This was a bad decision by Air France t...

Re: 2015 Antwerp airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
Jetairfly seems to have created two gaps in the schedule on Monday and Saturday during the winter season 2015/16. On Monday airplane on ground in ANR from 1225 until 1705 and on Saturday from 1220 until 1650. This creates room for an extra flight/destination at about 1:20 block time. These gaps wher...
