Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
That is all long haul. I understand (correct me if I ma wrong) that allocating new or additional aircraft to airlines of the LH Group is a "Group" decision. My conclusion is, again, that the top managers of LH Group and SN do not see SN as a priority and do not recognize SN's needs both l...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
Also BRU gave a first reaction after analyzing the new permit. The airport is afraid, with those severe restrictions, which were also named by Voka, that the airport cannot grow after 2032. Those restrictions are not in line with the European guidelines. BRU can go in appeal just like AMS is/was do...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
And the first reaction is there from the Brussels minister of environment, Mr Moron.
He will analyse the next coming weeks the new permit. If it is too much against health, he will ask the Brussels government to appeal.
But you can be sure that they will do this.

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
I hope they will use the opportunity to build a soundwall around the whole airport. There will be a sound wall, at least at the most sensitive areas. And there will also be a soundproof hangar to test jet engines. Indeed, like I wrote already in another topic, the hangar will be build central on th...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
The permit is in for indefinite time. There will be no ban on nightflights. As from 2032, the max amount of flights per year will be 240.000. Also more silent weekendnights as from that year and a reduction of 30% of the most loudest flights during the night. There are many other conditions but the...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
By the EWD tomorrow we know if the permit will be prolonged and which will be the extra conditions. EWD? And that permit is a certainty. The Flemish government will not block the second economic pool of our country, esp. minister Demir and her party. My guess that - if their are any - extra conditi...

Re: BRU Summer 2024: news, new routes, airlines
On the BRU website press room you can read that there will be many news routes, including Brive airport in France, flown by Amelia airlines. Did anyone know about this? I don't think it was mentioned before. They don't mention this at all in their press release, but in the introduction on social me...
