Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Less flights are even better, more pax per bigger plane is much more convenient for the whole environment. Less flights are also much better for the fact that the airport has a lot of margin to grow. The plafond is not reached yet. And this makes us more attractive then our neighbour airports. So w...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
The number of flights are not saying anything. We have much more pax now, close to 26 million a year, with less flights. Why? Bcs operators, airlines are use much bigger airplanes then in the time of Sabena. Less flights are even better, more pax per bigger plane is much more convenient for the who...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Complete nonsense. BRU shouldn’t do anything for SN. It’s up to SN to become healthy/profitable/whatever... It's the main operator at BRU and as such it is in BRU's own interest to have a strong and reliable partner in SN. Not out of compassion but for commercial reasons. SN going belly up would se...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I’m very sorry, but if you really compare KLM/AMS with SN/BRU, I think it’s pretty obvious that you refuse to accept what aviation really is in Belgium. Nonsense doesn’t mean you cannot dream, but reality is something else. Indeed, looking at ownership says it all. AMS is owned by the Dutch governm...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
SN sleeps since LH cares ... Cristina Foerster has no influence on the future of SN and does not have the phone number of LH Do you know this for a fact or is this just your imagination? If true, maybe she could score his number if she would dress better. ;) Let's not jump to conclusion regarding t...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
And this is the root cause of the linguistic problems in Belgium. Will any Walloon company translate every communication in Dutch if they have no sites situated in Flanders? I doubt it. But when french speaking people come to work or live in Flanders they want any communication in French. Why? beca...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
I think SN has to reboot before they become independent from EW. Makes sense to have an alternative plan before changing the current setup as an independent SN without reboot isn't viable.

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU): Star Alliance, Oneworld and Skyteam under one roof?
Also LATAM is high on the list DL has taken a big share in LATAM and it will be leaving OneWorld. https://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/nieuws/categorie/2/airlines/delta-sluit-miljardendeal-met-zuid-amerikaans-latam Sadly I think that will ruin the prospects of seeing LATAM at BRU, more service at CDG or...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
In various news reports it's written that Thomas Cook didn't pay it's bills from SN in weeks. This must be millions and counting. Does SN have enough liquidity to cover this for some time?

Re: Thomas Cook ceases trading; UK CAA launches giant programme to fly its customers home
I remember how certain people were repeating how profitable those new leisure routes for SN were. And this without any knowledge and background We can see now how it will bring SN further into deep troubles. They can modify already their reboot plan Who could have predicted 2 years ago that TC woul...

Re: Thomas Cook ceases trading; UK CAA launches giant programme to fly its customers home
Understandable decision from Brussels Airlines, but terrible news for Thomas Cook Belgium nv/sa. Unless they find another carrier within the next hours, they are legally forced to announce financial insolvency to their insurer Garantiefonds Reizen / Fonds de Garantie de Voyages. The GFR/FGV will th...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
What "near bankruptcy"? Because a few Belgian news sites copy an article in De Telegraaf today, with outdated information? Didn't you always reject what the MSM write? Sure - Thomas Cook is going through stormy waters, with a high debt following them. Chinese group Fosun (already owner Cl...

Re: KLM to replace one of their five daily flights to BRU by a train connection between Brussels (railway stations) to A
That is really a missed opportunity for the future. There are still a lot of people on long haul or even short haul who are taking a connection flight to AMS. They now have to take a train first to a Brussels train station and from there to AMS. They will lose more pax with it. They should link dir...

As from the end of March, the beginning of the Summer season, KLM will replace one of their 5 daily fights to BRU by a train connection between Schiphol and Brussels Airport. It had some spilling of a fluid in the hold that had really annoying and irrating smell in the cabin An airline with it's core business flying to Africa should plan to have some Febreze on hand. Seems to me like the sound of monkey shouts in a stadium...  It’s not an insult or bi...
