Re: Ryanair in 2012

Looks like there will be bases in FEZ and RAK starting april. Schedules are loaded in the booking engine already.
For example on the RAK-CRL-RAK and FEZ-STN-FEZ rotations.

I can agree with that. :)
We will see where the EU/EASA goes with this issue.
But for now I have no doubt FR is a safe operation, whatever the Spanish may claim.

Re: Ryanair in 2012.

Do you really think that the FR flightcrew would depart with an aircraft that has certain mandatory items not working? (Apart from items covered by MEL). Give them some credit. Where did I say Spanish can not ask for functionality checks? I have heard them even write up planes for not having a grey ...

Re: Ryanair in 2012.

Let me elaborate: As I understand the rules, its the state of registration which is in charge, with any other state merely allowed to inspect the plane during its ground time (when present at their airports). For Ryanair that means what, 25 minutes? Well, as I see it a SAFA inspection doesn't need t...

Re: Ryanair in 2012.

You are right that SAFA inspections may not cause delay to the aircraft (except for safety reasons) . But the inspectors can ground the aircraft. From the book: "Where irregularities have an immediate impact on safety, inspectors can demand corrective action before they allow the aircraft to le...

Re: Ryanair in 2012.

If they want they can already do as many SAFA inspections as they want. No change in rules required for that. I know after the VLC incidents the German LBA was checking arrival fuel of FR aircraft in Germany.

Lets not forget the Manx2 metroliner that crashed in Cork and was operated by Spanish company (flightline) http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/4423 ... rport.html Good read.

Re: Ryanair in 2012.

I stopped reading after "Volgens de Spaanse krant El Mundo"
The Spanish started a witch hunt on Ryanair lately. Or the Spanish airspace became like a Bermuda triangle for FR suddenly.

Re: RYANAIR FR1919 fuel leak at VLC 21/8/2012

I heard that the auto-shutoff in one wing tank that automaticly closes the valve of the tank when it is full did not function properly. As a result fuel went out the overflow vent onto the apron. Fuelling was stopped, pax disembarked normally so that they did not had to wait in a hot aircraft, engin...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

The flight from PMI landed below reserves with 1029kg instead of 1104kg in the tanks. So about 28 minutes remaining instead of the required 30. The other flights landed above the reserves.

From the Avherald: http://avherald.com/h?article=454af355&opt=0 The Spanish Airport Operator AENA's statement released to press, that only Ryanair aircraft were affected by fuel emergencies, is contradicted by evidence and is false. On Aug 23rd The Aviation Herald learned a LAN Airlines Airbus A...

Re: Carbon tax: higher prices for tickets and controversy

Well, airazurxtror, maybe SN learnt a valuable lesson from FR and count like FR, meaning as follows: 3 euro carbon tax PER LEG = 6 euro + 2 euro payment fee PER LEG = 4 euro, makes a total of 10 euro :!: Surely you as an FR fanboy must know how terribly expensive it is be for an airline to process ...

CRL-STN when it was just launched ( and quickly cancelled)
2 cents return ticket (no taxes/visa charges were added)
It really said 0,02 euro on my visa statement.
