Re: JAL shares down 32 pct as bankruptcy worries mount

British Airways (BA) needs a Far Eastern partner if it is to have continuing global pretensions and has now, according to reports, made overtures to destitute Japan Air Lines (JAL) about possible Asia-Europe collaboration. If JAL (or whatever remains of it) were to ally itself with Delta (Skyteam),...

Re: JAL shares down 32 pct as bankruptcy worries mount

The Japanese government reportedly is looking at a plan under which JAL would abandon all its international routes and become a domestic carrier. Its international routes would be taken over by ANA. http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-world/japan-airlines-may-stop-international-flights-report-20091...

Re: BRU airport website restricted viewing due to heavy traffic!

It's more a problem of server resource, but it prooves they are amateurs indeed
Would you say that Amsterdam Airport are amateurs as well then? Their site also offered reduced functionality over the last few days due to heavy visitor numbers.

Former Charleroi chief in talks with Macquarie

Interesting interview with Marcel Buelens in De Standaard today. Buelens, who was sacked as CEO of Charleroi airport earlier this year, says he is talking with Macquarie, the owners of Brussels Airport. About the planned low-cost terminal in Brussels, he says that it is planned at the wrong place. T...

Re: Will EK (Emirates) come to BRU?

All the financial problems in Dubai made me wonder what the financial situation of Emirates actually is. I know there have been complaints from other airlines (Qantas e.g.) about the lack of a level playing field when Emirates developed its flights into Australia. Does anybody know any figures?

Re: website Brussels Airlines : most user-friendly website 2009

I find it impossible to manage existing bookings on this website. Gaining access to your own booking is a great success, because half the time I fail to do so. Adding a Miles and More number proved to be completely impossible. Very poor compared to many other airlines. I recommend Qantas in this res...

Re: Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

Not too fast Acid-Drop. BRU is still number 1 as cargo airport in Belgium. There is already for months a problem with the exact cargo figures. 25.000 - 30.000 ton of cargo is not registered in the official cargo figures. They are going to give very soon the exact cargo figures, retroactive. Isn't t...

The team indeed flew from Wevelgem on Tuesday. It also flew from Wevelgem to Belorussia where Gent played a few weeks ago. So not a typo from the journalist.
