The flight left MAN at 11.30am and I left DUB at 2.45pm, but from what I read in an Irish newspaper, EI are reducing the meals service on all the flights. On Sabena's morning flights from MAN (the one I flew on, SN2174 which left at 10.55am) I was served a sandwich, a Twix chocolate bar and a can of...

Aer Lingus - MAN-DUB Both Ways
My first flights of the year. On 16th June I flew between Manchester and Dublin with Aer Lingus on BAe 146 EI-CTM. The flight lasted forty minutes and cruised at around 16,000 feet. The aircraft had leather seats all through, the first I've come across since flying on an Avro of Sabena back in 2000....

I thought that maybe Antwerp would be something like London City, but it sounds quiet in comparison! It's a pity that the Welcome Air flight is not on a Monday or Wednesday as they are the days that I'll be there, and I've never seen their aircraft. VLM are okay to film, but I'll be at LCY on the da...

Spotting/Viewing/Photography at ANR
What is Antwerp Airport like for spotting and photography? Are there any good viewing areas in the terminal? I will be going there in six weeks and would like to go prepared!!

I tried to vote for the Boeing 717, but an error message prevented me from registering my vote!! Go and check this link you might not be the only one who experienced some problems. I think as a tried, tested and very well proven design, the Boeing 717 is hard to beat. Okay, the basic design is deca...

I tried to vote for the Boeing 717, but an error message prevented me from registering my vote!! I think as a tried, tested and very well proven design, the Boeing 717 is hard to beat. Okay, the basic design is decades old from the DC9, but the avionics have been updated and it is still a fine aircr...

The Worst Airline I've Flown With - Ever
Quite simply, Air New Zealand is the worst airline I've ever experienced. My problems with this carrier began even before I had reached the airport. I had booked a multi-stopover holiday taking in Los Angeles, Sydney, Auckland and Hawaii, all flights with Air New Zealand, and how I regretted flying ...

For most beautiful aircraft (this one always crops up on another forum I post on) what about the Lockheed TriStar? Or the Comet? Or the VC10? The A340 always looked good in Sabena colours, especially with those dark blue engine cowlings, the livery suited the type perfectly. As for another Belgian 7...

What can beat nine days in Mechelen, flying from London City (great airport, especially on the approach) with VLM? Don't forget to make pics of the inflight meals (snacks ) Have a nice stay in Belgium Greetz Chris  If I know VLM I will be served a sandwich (or a bag of peanuts)!! But if...

Holidays - my favourite subject!!! I've had one holiday this year - Dublin for three days with Aer Lingus. The best is yet to come though!!! What can beat nine days in Mechelen, flying from London City (great airport, especially on the approach) with VLM? I don't know Mechelen, and would be grateful...

VLM LCY-BRU (and return)
Okay, this flight was last year, but I've only just discovered this forum (good range of topics by the way!!) These were my first flights with VLM, having been a die-hard Sabena fan before the bankrupcy. I found London City an easy airport to use. It is excellent for spotting, with a long walkway pa...
