Re: QF B747 routes
Yes they still fly the B747, e.g. on the Sydney-Dallas and Brisbane-LA route. All London-Sydney and London- Melbourne routes are operated by A380 aircraft. QF is however retiring all B747s that do not have the A380 cabin configuration. A330 aircraft are taking over several routes previously flown by...

@crew1990 You should take into account that many people fly to LHR ex-BRU to transfer to other flights. Eurostar is not an option there, I'm afraid. I'm pretty sure people at British Airways think the same. I regularly transfer at LHR, please do not replace those flights with trains!

Dear passenger, get your facts right. Your statement is not correct.VRT news desk - the Flemish state-television which is surely not an anti-union lobby (actually, the VRT newsdesk joins every national strike the unions organize).

Re: question about flights to San Francisco via Chicago
You should always allow enough time to transfer at any US airport. Delays at border control, even in Chicago, can be quite long for non-US citizens. If your flight from BRU is delayed, United staff will be present at the gate in Terminal 5 with a boarding pass for your onward flight in a bright yell...

I just drove back from Brussels to Mechelen and the conditions were horrendous. Massive downpours in Brussels, and dangerous driving conditions. So I assume it is because of the weather.

Re: Qantas teams up with Emirates on Kangaroo route
Not good news to get in bed with your best enemy if you ask me. I don't think they had much choice. Qantas is losing hundreds of millions of Australian dollars on its international network, and the competition from Asia and the Middle East is massive. But I am curious to see whether this move will ...
