Re: BRU summer 2012: latest news, routes, airlines
And a few CRJ (e.g. SK or LH) and Q400 (e.g. SN) Arrived this morning in FRA. Quite impressive: 4 A380, several A340, A330, B777, B747, B767, B787 (ANA), ... Hope some of these type will come (more often) to BRU. Although it is a good sign that companies like TK are sending already regular A330 in s...

Re: Germanwings comes to BRU
Hi, I hope they will have a better LF than LH. Took the afternoon flight STR-BRU a few weeks ago on a F100. There were less than 15 passengers. It will look even more 'empty' on an A319. It was not a price issue, as it was a normal competitive price. If this is the trend, I don't think Germanwings w...

Forgot one recently flown: OR AMS - LXR OR LXR - HRG OR HRG - AMS All on B737 Bloody experience: bad service, aircraft worn out, very crappy leg room. Don't know how a tall Dutch guy survives such a flight. Let's be glad with our Belgian tour operators! Luckily Egypt was beautiful and very lovely pe...

Delta plane of the runway in Atlanta
Hi,
Just saw on the news here in my hotel in the USA a Delta plane got off the runway at ATL due to a break faillure. It was a Boeing 737-700 with winglets.
Apparently it was a test of the breaks that didn't turn out well (source CNN).

Hi André,
You 're absolutely right. It are UA flights now. But let's stay a little nostalgic.
In fact most of the time, we 're still talking about the CO flights to EWR from BRU, although they are UA now.

Re: Brussels Airlines takes over BRU-BSL from SWISS
I suppose it will be a mix. I flew to BSL several times with very variable load factors. Some flights had barely 30%, others where nearly full. One common thing though: always rather expensive flights, even for the empty ones. Maybe SN can make them cheaper, hopefully resulting in succesful LF. BSL ...

Just missed that nice bird then. I was on the previous one LX771. The regular ARJ 100. Nice flight by the way with a beautiful view on the white Alps on the horizon. Very clear view in the upcoming sun.

Thanks WC_EEND for the support of my favourite airport ;) I can also reassure you that the B terminal (Schengen and non-Schengen) is getting refitted completely. The Schengen part is completely ready: I left there last Friday on my flight to BRU. In the non-Schengen zone you have a brand new Swiss l...

Re: The most loved airports in the world: 1. HKG 4. MUC 7. Z
Hi, It's been a few years ago since I went to HKG, but if I remember well I took an underground train to get from the international terminal to the main building. Very similar to ZRH. So at least travelers coming from HKG to ZRH should be familiar with it ;) Anyway ZRH definitely deserves to be ther...

Anyone more news on OO-DJY? On the website of Bilbao Airport and Flight Tracker it is still mentioned as on route and on time arrival at 11h55. We are way past 11h55. Return flight indeed indicated as canceled. Did it actually land in Bilbao or was it diverted?

Re: Last A330-200 flight at SWISS
To cnc: completely agree with you. It is not as simple as that. I work in industry as well (all be it not aviation).
But on the other hand a small loss won't harm either: if it stays into certain proportions it can even give a positive effect for SN 's future after all.
