Re: BRU Summer 2019: news, new routes, airlines
I'm always shocked how Flemish this airport is this morning while I clearly speak in French the answer always comes back in Dutch. I have to tell them that I don't understand Dutch to make the employees speak French with me!!!!! I'm the only one to experience this????? I am always shocked how Frenc...

Maybe already mentioned but:
I saw that the Moscow-Domodedovo flights will be canceled in favor of Sheremetyevo.

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future
The REASON why the queue is there and so long: the young guys and girls in green polo, with " can I help you ?." on the back are NOT DOING THERE JOB. I pass through this passport control 3 times a month, and share your opinion 100%! I wrote to Mr. Feist about it; he admits the problem and...

At JFK: “This is an announcement from All Nippon Airlines. We regret to inform you that your departure has been delayed.” (Dismay flashes across faces at the gate.) “We are delayed by 5 minutes.” “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”       https://twitt...

Re: Boeing 797 news
The 797 as it stands now is nothing more than a competitor for the Airbus A321neoLR. Airbus doesn't need to go back to the drawing board. Well, I know for a fact that they are exploring the A321XLR (not launched yet), it would be a A321neoLR but with even bigger fuel tanks to extend the range to 47...

Re: Boeing 797 news
SIAE is in June 2019 ;) I am actually not thrilled by the b797,( assuming it will be a single aisled plane ) nor by the a321LR (or XLR ) I get that the 'MMA' has to be filled, however, I do not look forward to sit in a single aisle plane to cross the Atlantic. Did it 1 time with a b757-200, the exp...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Just wondering if any of you guys know why I cant book Brussels-Johannesburg anymore on Brusselsairlines.com . Okay, these are code share flights from Frankfurt (SN7206 with LH 572) but buying the tickets from brusselsairlines was generally ( a lot ) cheaper than buying it from LH.com directly. I di...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
hence they're also leasing planes so unless they have an agreement from the leasing company this could be a step forward in harmonizing the entire fleet with Trent engines making it easier for maintenance OO-SFY is 20 years old... why would they change the engines for maybe 5 years of flying ? Why ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
OO-SFY has/had PW4168 engines. On the Home page, the SN Rejuvenating article referred to standardization on Trent 772-60 engines. Could it be that this is what they do now in LIS? I was under the impression that changing engine type is not that simple. Tango and Zulu have also the PW engines. H.A. ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Been seeing a Eurowings A340-300 taking off on Wednesday, Thursday and today now for SN501, is there a problem with the A330 fleet ? It's also planned for tomorrow It moved from being occasional to frequently. SFT and SFY are in LIS for C-check I read on another topic here (will they return to the ...

Re: Ryanair in 2018
I only wanted to stress out that more and more seats are being installed on aircraft, seriously reducing pax and crew comfort. Well, better get used to it with the new A321LR, A321ULR and new boeing middle of the market aircraft. Trans-continental flights in those things will be horrible :( :( :( (...

Re: Eurowings in 2018
If Eurowings continues like this, I think Carsten will need 3 envelopes soon… Indeed. Spohr is playing his survival on the success of his pet project Eurowings. And things don't look good now. Heavy losses, angry staff. The only bright spot within Eurowings is Brussels Airlines, which should not be...

Very sad to see these happings. So nice motivated crews, but crap management, just looking on their own pockets. Have seen it, didn’t believe it. Hope all the best for the crews! Crap management? The CEO put money from his own pocket into the company! Well, the public image around Air Belgium is al...

Re: Ryanair in 2018
The thing that scares me the most is the fact that the pitch is even smaller than before
I am 1m90 ( 6 foot 3 for the non metric users ) and the old 30 inch pitch was already pushing it for me...
Owh well, I don't fly with Ryanair anymore anyways.
