Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Some of those holiday destinations like Valencia and Santorini will not be missed. They are not giving the high revenue. So this is not a surprise and a good move of SN. I think that more of them will follow. What is, on the other hand, a real surprise is Moscow. This is a city to be. They had of c...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Under the motto 'if you can't beat them, join them': SN and Aeroflot to codeshare on the SVO-BRU route (flights as from 20/01). Connections at both sides possible with through check-in of luggage etc. (so seemingly interlining beyond the SVO-BRU route) https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/aeroflot/ae...

Re: Eurowings in 2019
Currently, the long-haul Eurowings flights are operated by three different airlines: SunExpress, Brussels Airlines and CityLine. In an article of Handelsblatt today, Spohr says that by 2022 this will be consolidated into a single airline. The example to follow is Edelweiss. Methinks that it will no...

Re: Eurowings in 2019
Lufthansa to replace Eurowings in low-cost long-haul flights by a new brand as from 2020. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/lufthansa-to-launch-new-low-cost-brand-to-replace-eurowings-on-long-haul/ A sentence questions me in the article. Long-haul traffic would be transferred from ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
If DME worked better than SVO, what was the logic behind the change ? Plus, almost all LH group carriers are at DME Travelling with SN instead of SU was better to passengers to whom DME is more convenient. Maybe SVO had offered a more reasonable price to attract them? That’s also twice absurdly bec...

SN is still flying to Nantes today. Do they still plan to discontinue? Will end 23/11. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brussels_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations Don't know if that information is correct, but that explains it ... BTW: in the November issue of B-Inspired following destinations can...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Will the SFB got a "new" outside SN livery (eurowohite) or just a cabin fit ? The Eurowings livery is quite fresh. I doubt it will be removed (remember: "Savings"!). And if it is changed, it will probably be a basic Eurowhite with minimal Brussels Airlines features: the titles a...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Flew OO-SNN in Eurowings colors yesterday evening from CPH to BRU. Crew didn't mention anything and it must be a bit confusing to passengers not in the know to end up in this aircraft. Good flight, as usual with SN. Btw, is there a plan to repaint this aircraft ? It is so freshly-painted that it wo...

You mean D-AEUD Eurowings Airbus A320-214, still in storage or even one of de A321's coming from Laudamotion. Good idea. But if an aircraft is phased-in it undergoes modifications for SN ops like for example the EFB, sometimes seats , galley,... If you switch with another aircraft you have to do th...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
That can be either one of non-repainted from AB cs (D-ABHA or D-ABZI) or D-AEUH or even one of late CFM-engined A319 (D-AKNT-V). A321 currently doesn’t fit to SN strategy.
