Re: 2016 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
So this is official now. Still waiting for the official pressrelease from EGIS. Anyway this is good news as Tatneft knows nobody will buy their fuel if they are more expensive than other airports. Might see the return of transitflights back to the time when Merlin airtrade was operating. Loads of tr...

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
It looks that vueling will use LIL instead of LGG. I wonder why, maybe to allow more slots to SN http://vuelingnews.com/?lang=en Very strange indeed, first make publicity that you will fly from Liege and then switch to France. They already operate from Lille, perhaps Lille is offering a deal one ca...

Re: Terrorist attack, explosions in the departure hall of Brussels Airport!
Iberia,Adria, TAP, SN BRUSSELS, Thomas Cook will be using Liege. Easyjet will use Lille. No news from Vueling allthough as mother Iberia is using Liege they might will opt for this airport. Corendon is talking with Liege. EBOS is a Jetairfly airport only at the moment. If anyone has any info regardi...

Hi,
There should have been a pressrelease yesterday but due to Brussels attacks it never was published.
So still waiting for the "official news".
Tatneft is using the equipment and some staff of Skytanking.
More news to follow.

Re: 2016 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
Skytanking has been replaced by TATNEFT oil AG.
The company intends to sell its own fuelproducts later next month.
Tatneft is a Russian producer of oil and has a large network of fuelpumps in Russia.
Very likely prices for fuel will go down at EBOS and hope to attract some extra freighters.

Re: 2016 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
As mentioned before Skytanking Oostende has financial problems. EBOS is one of the most expensive airports in Europe to deliver fuel to the planes. This has caused the problems at Skytanking as many airfreight companies didn't want to fuel at EBOS or just moved somewhere else. Now the company is try...

Re: Ryanair in 2016
Again nothing for EBOS.
JAF seems to have nice figures for their Spanish routes.(aena.es)
Then again as MoL said a few months ago they don't have any planes for new routes...

Re: Jetairfly in 2016
they should replace the ANR BER by a ANR NCE a typical Antwerp destination it makes more sense to fly a ANR NCE than a OST NCE Time will tell if the NCE from OST will work. Last season they had a OST TIA route but it was limited and according to my info the last flight was full. Pity Jetair or EBOS...

Re: 2016 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
Big change at EBOS on the table. The securitylanes will be expanded, including a fast lane. The airport parking will be expanded by 550 carspaces by the summer of 2016. This would mean that the airport will offer space for 1320 cars at a rate of 8 Euro a day or 2 Euro a hour. EGIS is in negociations...

2016 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
It seems that Skytanking Ostend NV is seeking protection from its creditors(court of Ghent, district Brughes). The company employs 12 people many of them who have been working for Merlin airtrade in the past. Bad news for the staff if they go bankrupt but good news for the airport. Mr Buelens would ...

Re: 2015 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
Great news.
Hope all routes will be a success in 2016.
It may attract others to give EBOS a try.
Nice-Ostend from one fashionable resort to another one...-)
A UK destination should be next on the list.

Doubt if this is true.

Re: Jetairfly in 2015
I would be surprised if they want to keep the old bird in there own fleet... But you never know... 8-) I agree, I don't think it's the best bird to expand the fleet. It's a 14 year old ex-Ryanair bird and flew for a bit less then 8 years with Ryanair (they probably got rid of it just before the fir...

Re: 2015 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
I agree on that one. Look at the JAF prices for Barcelona at Antwerp and at Ostend. Ebos is far more expensive than Antwerp. As for the Barcelona flights in August EBOS handled 2516 passengers with 26 flights. Correct me if I am wrong but this means 96.76 pax on 122... Slightly less than the Antwerp...

Re: 2015 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
First of all I want to apologize for my comment. Correct me if I am wrong but apart from NHV and some soccercharters, JAF is the only frequent user of the airport(passengers). Freebird flies for JAF. There is no other airline that frequently(in a frequent schedule) flies from EBOS. Therefor my phras...

Traffic figures August 2015 http://www.ost.aero/en/passengers/news/traffic-figures-august-2015 I see passenger numbers in August are down on the same month last year. I would have thought the extra summer holiday flights and also the new route to Barcelona would have had the opposite effect. It see...

Re: 2015 Ostend-Bruges airport (OST/EBOS) latest news
Hi, There is still a return via EBBR as they have more flights. This is probably a one off due to the Tunesia flights who have been cancelled. But with Albania as a upcoming tourist market JAF could provide package deals to the Albanian coast for next season. Might try to the route if they would exp...
