Re: 2017 Ostend-Bruges Airport (OST) latest news
The renewed departure lounge is open as from today. The security check area is capable of taking 3 lanes instead of 1 in the past. Passengers can still have a drink or a meal in the Belair before check in but now they are also able to have a meal, drink or snack after the security check. In the past...

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
I fully agree. There is not much effort done to attract other players to EBAW. Unless.. there is no one really interested, which also possible. Given that both ANR and OST have the same management its rather not looking for customers but hoping they fall from the sky. ;) They believe they are runni...

Re: Brussels Airlines takes over Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium
The absorption of TCAB (I wouldn't call it a merger) means that SN will now compete head-to-head with TUI. In the past they were more or less complementary, but now that SN takes over all the touristic destinations of TCAB (the only real - and rather weak in the airline business - competitor of TUI...

Re: Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium in 2017
Goodbye TCB. Still remember you operating from OST with your own aircraft. Some flights with others such as Viking, Air Tunesie, etc Mostly full but sometimes only with a coach full due to the "unpopular times" flying from OST. You were the first to show the approach via the intern tv's(no...

Re: 2017 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
To: DIBO I fully agree with you. Clearly there is not much 'customer' focus on ANR, the parkings are closed, the public transport facilities are poor (not even a covered busstop to hide from the rain) and outside & inside signage for Departures / Arrivals is not cleary visible. I hear that the ...

Re: Safety question
Most likely the Ryanair aircraft was full, so in order to avoid delay the cabin crew invited fit young passengers to the emergency exits iso "de bomma van 96 jaar" or the mother with her baby. It's not a requirement during normal operations, in an emergency landing that's another case. So...

Safety question: always passengers at the emergency exit or not?
Hi,
I thought that exit doors on the wings always should be manned(womanned ) during a flight.
Flew with SAS this week the 12 seats were empty.
Last year with Ryanair this was also the case but the cabin crew asked some people to move to the exit seats.

The Belair has reopened a couple of months ago. I suggest you contact them for more info. http://www.belair.be/oostende/node/1 The only thing I know is that the restaurant/bar has lost a lot of "non-airport" customers since the terror level 3 at the airport. Families used to go their for a...

Excellent news for BRU. Regarding the noise regulation, OST will NOT approach any airline wishing the leave BRU. In fact, they aren't active looking for new customers. The customer will come to them... If a airline feels like operating from OST well they can contact the airport. Source: Mrs Catherine...

Re: Brussels region noise regulation
Don't forget in 2001, BIAC had EBOS in their hands in did nothing with it! The Dutch aiportcompany at Schiphol are much smarter with Lelystad. EBOS could have been Lelystad to BIAC!!! Cargo and lowcost noise... I don't think the guys from http://wiloo.be Ostend would let that happen. Two men and a ...

OST-BCN? TUI will be happy.
As to my question, the french airport is BRU?!?
Looks like the whole plan was made in China, many mistakes and bad quality.

If you have a look at their presentation you can see their planned network including routes from ANR and OST. You can also read that they plan to have 2 AOCs: one in Belgium and one with 320 and 330 in Slovenia. Correct. Chinese tourists to OST and business travellers to ANR in Q1/2018. Which airpo...
