Re: Ryanair passengers held hostage
I had an almost identical problem about 15 years ago. A diversion, due to bad weather ended at 2 am on a very big airport. The passengers were 150 soccer supporters. First ATC at the diversion airport didn't want to give us landing clearance because they didn"t want our passengers in the airpor...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2014
Ryanair FR-1389 Bordeaux-Charleroi 17h20-18h55 is cancelled “Due to ATC strike”, Ryanair.com states. However, Air France AF-5320 Bordeaux-Brussels landed at about the same time: 17h25 (ETA 17h15). So apparently no ATC strike for them? FR-6099 Rygge/Oslo-Charleroi 16h40-18h40 is cancelled “Due to AT...

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective
A question for Inquirer:
As the airline has several fuel hedging contracts, some will be in the money. Would it show in the balance sheet if the airline sells these contracts to cover up bigger losses?

Re: 29 hrs Jetairfly trip from BRU to Lanzarote after divers
The plane went northeast of the island of Lanzarote to turn and try landing at Arrecife on 19. Upon reaching the threshold of the runway, the pilot put full power in the engines and took altitude, RWY in ACE is 03/21 so probably too much tailwind on 03 and not enough visibility for a visual on 21. ...

Re: The Jetairfly Boeing 787
PS: the reason why it's FL431 and not FL430 is to allow you to keep you flight level when flying into and over countries like China that use metric flight levels with 1000ft seperation. Flight levels are FL321, 331, 341,... Thanks for that info, Bracebrace, I was wondering about that... I don't thi...

Re: NRT - BRU - NRT gap
BRU - TKO was a scheduled nonstop flight, but on many occasions it made a fuel stop in Moscow on the way back if winds were really strong, mostly in winter.. SVO was a SCHEDULED stop in the early days of the 743 operations from NRT to BRU, a requirement of the Rusiians After a couple of years they ...

Re: New destinations from THY
THY will fly to YUL (Montreal) tomorrow if Canadian Civil Aviation grants a permit, but It is not forthcoming as there are some political issues on Canadian side. I personally believe it is not commercial issue or Air Canada objecting! Just political..... A little bit the same as Turkey refusing tr...
