Re: The integration of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium into SN

Ofcourse. It may however also be a OO-SS. aircraft, the 319 then. The chance that you'll fly with a plane of TC is rater small. I think both TC aircraft still have to be painted in SN-colours and when this has happened, the chance is 3/33 (22 319 and 11 320) that you have a TC-aircraft (TCQ, TCV, T...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

It will keep its current cabin for the time being. But will be converted at next C-check. Probably winter 2018. Applies to most or all A320 coming in next year. Airfleets says Airbus 320 - next OO-SNJ - ( Msn 3161 ) coming from AZ will enter the fleet too. Planespotters.net says however that the ai...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Hi RTM, If your read careful on what they 'state' on airliners.net: one will be used for expansian while the other / previous 10 remain in operation as well. So there will be expansion (if correctly claimed), but the additional plane (the real extension) will only come in 2019 ... That is how I rea...

Please, please, please, please, please... stop the bitchslapping...!!! This topic is about the ruling against FR. It does impact other operators, and in a general sense it should be discussed here. If you want to refer to the specific SN Cityjet wetlease, use the appropriate, existing, topic... plea...

Re: Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium in 2017

When is the very last FQ flight from Brussels? (of course in Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium colours) Many thanks. That should be on Saturday 28 October, last day of the Summer season. But during a transition time afterwards, some aircraft in TCAB colours could operate some flights for SN. Meanwhile I...

Re: [Accident Report] 11/07/2017 SAS CRJ-900 (reg EI-FPG) on flight SK-589 Stockholm-Brussels

In all honesty... fire resistant is not the same as fireproof. Under the right circumstances it can ignite, but will not sustain a fire. Also, as fluid gets older, and more contaminants settle into it, flamability caractiristics change. So, from a pilots point of view, and thus their procedures, eli...

Re: [Accident Report] 11/07/2017 SAS CRJ-900 (reg EI-FPG) on flight SK-589 Stockholm-Brussels

Tire bursts generally happen with gear extended. And the design should be that it can absorb an impact without causing too much failure. But you never know. But retraction braking should prevent pieces of rubber flinging into other area's during or after retraction. But as stated, I am not familiar ...

Re: [Accident Report] 11/07/2017 SAS CRJ-900 (reg EI-FPG) on flight SK-589 Stockholm-Brussels

Retracting a damaged main gear tire on a 737 can lead to a lot of other problems as a lot of systems pass through the landing gear bay (unfamiliar with the CRJ, don't know what hides in their landing gear bay). It is better to leave the gear out for a certain time. Don't know either aircraft very w...

Re: [Accident Report] 11/07/2017 SAS CRJ-900 (reg EI-FPG) on flight SK-589 Stockholm-Brussels

The way I read the article, It took off uneventfull, but was notified enroute that tire debris was found on the runway. No certainty that it came of this A/C, but since it was one of the candidates, they were notified. No abnormal readings on the engines, continue flight. Upon arrival in BRU, they a...

convair wrote: 28 Jun 2017, 18:36 As long as they have their "own" RJ100 available, how could they justify subcontracting to WX using RJ85?
I think it is more a case that WX is coming up with a back-up plan(e) because they can not deliver on the route subcontracted to them.
