Re: Air Antwerp, a new airline from Deurne ?

My biggest fear is that the customer base for ANR-LCY (mainly bankers and diamond traders) will have switched to other means of transport, and will not lightly come back. ANR-LCY must be the first and main business for any ANR-based business airline, even if other routes can and should be considere...

Re: 2018 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

It is now a couple of months that the FLYbe route have been running to SEN.

But how is it doing now, loadfactor wise? Better than the LCY routes back then by VLM?

Any idea?

Re: 2018 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

The airport is as good as dead. Reason is there is almost no competiton at the airport as well. Flying group and ASL are running the show. So why not getting more anr based bizz operators? If you come by private jet, there is only 1 handler (FBO’s) while there should be more choice to choose from. S...

Re: 2018 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

It seems to go from bad to worse in ANR. I also think the paid parking is not really helpful either. Time for a new plan Marcel.

Re: 2019 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

I hope that that the lcy-anr connection will be served by a real established airline and not by just another adventure company who still needs to prove themself. Somehow i am hoping it would be BA cityflyer. La nova.....i would not put my money on that, another failure guaranteed. Too many times see...

Re: 25-26-27/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

As a pilot i land quite often in BRU and my company is using aviapartner as well. We see so many times, when on blocks even, we really have to wait for them to show up to take care of everything, causing delays ofcourse. There is simply a lack of staff (like swissport as well) and they really have t...

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

Flew recently with the sukhoi as well. I was well impressed inside. 1 downside was that i found it pretty noisy. Got also the information that the sukhois will be replaced with the crj’s. No idea if cityjet will get off them permantely.

Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018

I think you are fully correct A318. The VLM times are over. Just thriving on 1 route (LCY) with aircraft that are not of these times anymore is simply not enough and even unrealistic. They had their shot, did probably their best, but it did not work out. Would be foolish now to go for a go- around b...

Re: Ryanair in 2018

Well i dont know if this is the correct thread to post it (so moderators feel free to move it in another thread). Norwegian, WOW, Primera and perhaps other loco’s all offering cheap flights to the US. I am somehow surprised ryanair did not jump on that boat. We have to admit the ryr management are n...

Not really a surprise, is it? Still surprised though that zurich was not on that list. My guess in 1 year the company will be gone. Well at least, they tried.

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

It is widely expected that SN will cancel the SSJ contract with CityJet before it expires in March 2019 with three possibilities: Continue with another CityJet aircraft, e.g. the CRJ900 Switch to another subcontractor, e.g. Flybe or bmi regional Fly its own aircraft, e.g. A319 Perhaps if Cityjet an...

Re: VLM (SHS Antwerp Aviation) news 2018

The beginning of the end!!!

I was hopeful but even the lcy flights are not that succesful.

VLM do yourselfa favour. Close the books and get rit of those F50. No future for this company anymore.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

With smaller planes getting longer and longer ranges, the HUB strategy will no longer be the main business model, but direct flights from point to point, will. I still do not understand why Belgium (11 Million and EU Capital) cannot have a premium flag carrier and Austria, and Switzerland, with eac...
